I am writing this review on behalf of a family member. My aunt and uncle had Gecko Green for their lawn care and saw good results. They where friendly and the service technician was polite and informative about lawn issues and how to fix them. But what really was impressive was the care they showed after my aunt had to cancel the service after my uncle passed away due to having a tighter budget. They canceled the service with no hassle and sent cookies with a very caring note to my aunt. Losing a spouse is difficult and having to then deal with the financial side of it all makes it worse. But Gecko Green showed compassion and care during this difficult time that no other companies would think to do. I highly recommend this company because they go above and beyond and few businesses do that anymore.
John H. was an extremely polite, professional, and very conscientious lawn care technician applying pre & post emergent herbicide to our large front and back Bermuda lawns today. I am very particular about our yard care and want to keep it looking beautiful. John gave me great confidence today he is the right lawn care technician going forward. He listened to my concerns and attended to all the problem areas I pointed out as well. I couldn’t be more pleased with the service today. Thank you Gecko Green for hiring & training top notch people like John H. (Don’t you dare relocate him from our route lol)
I do not enjoy leaving negative feedback, but in this case I feel it is necessary so that others can make an informed decision. We signed up with Gecko Green Lawn Care after a very persuasive sales pitch that honestly made it sound like our yard would turn into the garden of Eden. I had recently leveled our lawn and was really excited to see the patchy areas fill in. The salesperson confidently told us that within 1 to 2 services we would see a big improvement. After a full lawn treatment and a liquid aeration, we saw absolutely no improvement, and in some spots, the grass actually looked worse. I understand we are heading into winter and some decline is natural, but what we were seeing just did not match what we were promised. Communication was a major issue. Services were scheduled without our approval, and we only found out via a text message right before a technician arrived. By the time Alejandro came out for our third service to the property, we were already pretty unhappy with the results. Thankfully, he was fantastic. He took the time to listen to everything that had happened, walked the yard, and explained that given the recent leveling, he would have taken a different approach and likely recommended a manual aeration instead of liquid. He was professional, patient, and clearly cared about doing things the right way. If I had stayed with Gecko Green, I would have wanted him as my regular technician. When I later reached out to customer service, they did offer to have a manager come out and inspect the property to decide what to do next. I appreciated that offer in theory, but I am a full time software developer with very limited free time, and I did not want to start the process over again and explain everything to yet another person, especially after their own service representative Alejandro had already laid out a thoughtful approach that he said should lead to the results we were hoping for. Unfortunately, the company itself still did not match Alejandro’s level of care. No one followed up after he said he would update the notes. I had to call, leave a voicemail, wait, and then call again to finally speak with someone. When I asked them to at least get my lawn back to the condition it was in before their treatments, they had no flexibility and would not offer a complimentary service to make things right. In a new build neighborhood, we have had plenty of salespeople come by, and many other companies have delivered both good service and good results. Gecko Green just has not been one of them for us. I am glad others seem to have had better experiences, but this was my honest experience, and I hope that by sharing it, I can help others make an informed decision before signing up. With services like this, sometimes you win some and you lose some. In our case we feel like we lost, but I truly hope Gecko Green uses this feedback to improve their communication, follow through, and overall customer experience moving forward.
Paul was a very conscientious service man. He explained all about today's treatment, provided thorough covererage with the products, and summarized what to expect through the end of the year. I appreciate Paul's integrity.
Disappointing Experience – No Visible Results Despite Professional Service We truly wish we could leave a more positive review, but unfortunately, our experience with Gecko Green Lawn Care has been deeply disappointing. While the technicians who visited our property were courteous and professional, the product and promised results fell far short of expectations. We were assured that our lawn would become the greenest in the neighborhood. Despite following watering guidelines and having a fully operational sprinkler system, our yard continues to struggle with brown patches and persistent weeds. We voiced our concerns to both customer service and the technicians after each visit, but were repeatedly reassured that visible improvement was coming. Unfortunately, that improvement never materialized. After investing $420.00 in this service, we saw no benefit. In fact, our untreated neighbor’s lawn looks healthier and more vibrant than ours. We have documented our lawn’s condition with timestamped photos following each treatment (1st: 03/05/25, 2nd: 04/04/25, 3rd: 05/08/25). We strongly believe in paying for quality service—but in this case, we did not receive it. We are asking Gecko Green to stand by their satisfaction guarantee by either issuing a refund or taking action to correct the situation. Fingers crossed—we will update this review if the company responds appropriately.
