Dixie has been caring for my dogs (and foster dogs) on weekdays and vacations for almost five years. I don’t trust many people to care for my dogs, but I realized very quickly I could trust her whole heartedly. She has a very gentle way of working with dogs, particularly the difficult ones. One of my foster dogs (who eventually became a permanent family member) started out nipping and biting at Dixie, for no apparent reason. Dixie was very patient with him and worked with him until he learned to trust her. This is just one of many examples. Dixie has been beside me for every foster adoption celebration and every heartbreaking loss.
