Gerard has been incredible with my dog, Turnip. We did the board and train program and already have seen a huge improvement in a very frightened, reactive dog. He’s helped us put proper structure and discipline in place, and the results speak for themselves. Gerard provided clear communication and realistically managed expectations throughout. Highly recommend.
We boarded our German Shepherd with Gerard for a month, and the transformation has been incredible. During that time, he worked on lead manners, recall, and general behaviour around other dogs and people, all areas where our dog had struggled. Gerard even took him to the vets for a visit, something we’d previously dreaded because of how anxious he was. He took a nervous, unsure dog and gave him confidence. The level of communication throughout the training was fantastic! Gerard kept us updated with regular videos and messages, which gave us real peace of mind knowing our dog was in the best hands. The handover session was exceptionally detailed, both at the park and at our home, and we learned so much from it. What really stands out is Gerard’s depth of knowledge about dog behaviour, it’s truly superlative. After researching many trainers over the summer, the moment we came across Gerard’s website and social media, we knew he was the one to help us. He absolutely lived up to that first impression. If you’re looking for someone professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely dedicated to helping your dog reach their full potential, Gerard is the trainer to go to.
I found Gerard a few months ago after working with other trainers and seeing no progress in our recent rescue dogs behaviour. He pulled excessively on the lead, didn’t listen and was very reactive towards other dogs. We came to dread our daily walks. We were walking Frankie at unsocialable hours just to avoid seeing another dog. it was a nightmare for everyone involved! Just after our first session we were so relieved! Someone had finally explained our dogs behaviours and really detailed to us how we can begin to fix it. Now a few sessions in Frankie is like a different dog. Can’t recommend Gerard enough! He’s extremely knowledgeable and we genuinely look forward to every session.
I booked my mental 11 month old Golden Retriever Bella in for the 3 day intense training as she had zero respect when it came to lead manners, meeting people, reactivity towards other dogs and whilst at home when visitors came around. I dreaded taking her out a walk as she just pulled the entire time and a couple of times actually pulled me off my feet, I was afraid to take her out. Fast forward to now and she has just finished her training. I can honestly say that Gerard is a miracle worker! I have never seen my dog be so calm on walks. She actually can walk past people and other dogs with no interest in pulling. I am now looking forward to being able to enjoy a walk with Bella knowing that im not going to end up with an injury or worse Bella getting lose and possibly getting hurt. Gerard explained all that he did with her during the handover in great detail and demonstrated what I should be doing and what I shouldn't. He also told me the equipment I should use and sent me links. He was also very accommodating and worked around to suit me during handover. I can honestly say that if you're thinking of getting a trainer for your dog. This is the guy. I am truly grateful for his help.
Bodie is a working lab, who pulled continuously, had difficulty walking on a lead, and didn’t know how to control his impulse. Since working with Gerard over the past few months, he is like a different dog. We have learned how to set clear boundaries for him and he is responding really well. He walks more calmly on a lead, he gets more freedom that he ever had, because he understands what the rules are. He is calmer, more settled and happier. He even comes in to coffee shops, restaurants and cafes now, which was impossible before. Would definitely recommend Gerard and his training expertise.
