I love stopping into Great Plains on my free days. I always walk in telling myself I’m just "browsing", but somehow I’ve already accepted I’m leaving with a plant or two...or three. The owner is incredibly kind and knowledgeable, which makes the experience even better. They have a great selection of everything from basic houseplants to more rare finds, and there’s always something new to love. All around great vibes and hands down one of my favorite plant shops in Omaha!

Great prices & great customer service. Told them I had a cat who likes to eat plants and they pointed out all the ones that were safe. It's been a while & none of the plants I brought home had any pests. 10/10! They also have rare plants as well for the collectors out there.

I had such a great experience at Great Plains Botanical House! This place is truly a hidden gem for plant lovers. The selection of plants is incredible—especially if you’re looking for unique tropical houseplants, succulents, or cacti that you won’t typically find at big box stores. Everything is healthy, well cared for, and clearly chosen with a lot of knowledge and passion. What really stood out was how friendly and helpful the staff were. They took the time to answer questions, offer care tips, and help me choose plants that would actually thrive in my space. You can tell they genuinely love what they do and want customers to succeed with their plants. The atmosphere of the shop is also amazing—walking in feels like stepping into a little jungle. It’s clean, beautifully arranged, and full of interesting varieties that make you want to explore every corner. Whether you’re a seasoned plant collector or just starting your houseplant journey, I highly recommend stopping by Great Plains Botanical House. I’ll definitely be coming back for more plants!
