Was initially a bit annoyed at having to trek to Birmingham from Manchester at short notice for a work conference, and with the weather absolutely miserable outside, went out looking for the nearest decent lunch place. What luck that I was in the vicinity of Habanero's. I ordered the jerk chicken special burrito, very reasonable at £8.50 considering the massive portion size. I asked the guy at the till if there was a way I could avoid coriander (makes me a pain when it comes to ordering tex mex) and he was clear on what I could/couldn't get and checked if ground coriander was okay (it is). Service was really speedy, they made sure that there wasn't any coriander in the salsa rather than making me avoid it which was going the extra mile - I was in and out in 2 minutes. The burrito was exceptional, beans not too hard or too soft, really good quality tortilla, rice cooked perfectly, generous portion of well spiced jerk chicken, just couldn't fault it. Mentioned to the guys based in the office where I'd been and all said it was their favourite lunch place. Now kinda annoyed that I don't get to work out of Birmingham more often, but will definitely be going here for lunch next time I am.

Recently started going to this place at lunch, and its FANTASTIC. I really LOVE iT!!!! I go for the vegan option and i dont think you can get a better option and the price is very reasonable for the quality of the food. Hopefully im not being overly harsh by deducting a star but with this being a mexican restaurant i think the flavor profile could be raised by adding fresh coriander and fresh lime as optional (i know coriander can be a love it hate it ingredient but its very key to Mexican cuisine). Cant wait to go again!!!
