I recently discovered this groomers and couldn’t be happier with our experience! They did an absolutely perfect job grooming my Bichon Frise- Millie was beautifully styled, shaped, and cut to just the right length. I really appreciated how mindful they were of her age (she’s 11) and took extra care to be gentle with her fur. Millie can get quite anxious going for a groom, but seemed to settle almost immediately with the lovely lady who groomed her. The finishing touches were such a lovely surprise- She came out with her ears adorned with the cutest flower sparkles and a pink bow!! Another great feature of this groomers is their dog cafe! It was lovely being able to grab a coffee whilst waiting for our pooch. Highly recommend this groomers, the service was excellent, and it’s clear how much they truly care for the animals.
Chris and Alan always look after our dog Mario so splendidly. Mario is an English Show Cocker Spaniel who unfortunately had been clipped by previous owners, so we couldn’t go back to a traditional hand-stripped coat - however we did want him to have a classic cocker look. Chris and Alan both know how to achieve this look on Mario and he always looks super dapper after each groom. More importantly - Mario seems at ease at Hair of the Doggy and doesn’t go on his “handbrake” on the doorstep as he did with other groomers. Mario is a senior dog and gets the ‘spa treatment’ done every 6 weeks - which really seems to help with his dry skin. He is less itchy in the fortnight following his visits. Also; every time I call the phone gets answered promptly and the receptionists are always so helpful and considerate. Whilst I work abroad my diary is a little challenging and the team is always so understanding. At times they call me pro-actively when they know Mario is due and a slots becomes available. Can highly recommend!
I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else. It has a coffee shop at the front serving delicious pastries and great coffee. The grooming room is perfectly situated at the back of the cafe. All of the staff are very professional and welcoming. This is well worth the 5 stars!!
Well what can I say. I brought Dodger here for the first time this morning, upon entering we were greeted by the receptionist/cafe worker, nikki I think? She was absolutely lovely, very welcoming, booked us in. She was very attentive to Dodger. Emma the groomer came through, and she was so bubbly, friendly and explained the procedure as it was Dodgers very first grooming experience. He was so happy to walk away with emma, after 5 minutes (Nikki?) Gave me a update, and said Dodger is very happy and is giving cuddles to everyone. The cafe area is small and intimate but clean welcoming and I had a lovely coffee. After the treatment Dodger came out so happy, and was treated to a doggy ice cream! He didn't want to leave the shop! Thank you all so much for a brilliant first treatment, we will definitely be back Dodger smelt absolutely wonderful. His paws and leg hair is exactly how we wanted it. Thank you once again!!!!!!
I've been bringing my two dogs to Hair of the Doggy for the past 6–7 years, and I honestly wouldn’t take them anywhere else. From day one, the team has consistently shown genuine care, professionalism, and a true love for animals. No matter the breed or temperament, they’ve always handled both of my dogs with patience and kindness. The grooming is always top-notch – they come home looking (and smelling!) amazing every single time. I especially appreciate how calm and happy my dogs are when I pick them up – it’s clear they feel comfortable and safe there. It’s hard to find a groomer you can fully trust, but Hair of the Doggy has earned my trust a hundred times over. I highly recommend them to any pet owner looking for reliable, compassionate, and high-quality grooming services. Thank you for taking such great care of my pups all these years!
