I take books into sell to Half Price books and they make the process so easy and pain free. I have always received a fair price. I also have found some hard to find kids books and also some religious books that I was looking for there as well. I always enjoy the opportunities I have to visit the store and the staff is always helpful and friendly.
Book turnover is good and store is well stocked and always has a wide variety of titles. However, they do not give you much if you are selling books to them. I would describe it as "pennies on the dollar." You'll definitely get peanuts back. It's a great store to buy from, but not to sell to.
I ordered a very rare Porcelain Sandman Death statue and it was shipped from this location. The listing said used, no box but in very good condition. I recieved it today in a box twice the size of the statue with the actual statue loose in the box covered in brown paper.. No bubble wrap.. No foam.. Nothing to secure it at all. The statue is completely destroyed now. There are fragments all over the box. It kind of looked like the statue was already semi broken because there are missing fragments. (Which means they lied about the condition) Do not buy anything that requires care to have delivered. Ive included a photo of the box it came in with the brown paper. The box is way too big for a porcelain statue to go through the USPS with no support/bubble. Ive had stuff from Aliexpress come better packaged than this... The customer service rep that I spoke to was very wonderful though.
My daughter and I had already been to a few book store looking for a Christian love novel i had read once before. We called before driving over to Half Prices Books. The gal how answered was present from the start and happy to inform us that she had 2 copies and that she was more than pleased to tag the with ours names and leave them at the front desk for us. They were reasonably priced and in good condition for being used. My daughter is loving the book. Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers
This is a great book store! All kinds of books, puzzles, games etc you will find. There is also a huge bag of books sold in a bundle pack for $25 from Mystery, Thrillers to Romance, Drama etc. They are labeled on the bags. My girls enjoyed the reading in the kids section while I searched for my reading interest.
