I've walked by this restaurant many times but finally decided to try it out. Atmosphere and service were absolutely top notch!!! The food was very good but not excellent....thus the 4 star rating. I'm glad I've given it a try. Enjoy!!
We visited Harmon’s for my husband’s birthday dinner and had a really enjoyable evening. Our server was wonderful, very friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain the menu, portion sizes, and different cuts of steak. We started with the roasted bone marrow, which was beautifully presented and tasty (though bone marrow was nothing mind blowing as the taste can’t be elevated much really). For mains, we shared the 18oz Black Opal ribeye. without a doubt the highlight of the evening. It was the most tender and delicious steak we’ve ever had, cooked perfectly medium rare and truly melt-in-your-mouth good. I also tried the 7oz California cut striploin from PEI, which was nice, though the ribeye definitely stole the show. For sides, we ordered the half portions of cremini mushrooms and Brussels sprouts. Both were delicious and packed with flavor, though a bit on the heavier/oilier side. Portions were generous, even for the “half” option, so sharing is the way to go. Out of curiosity, we also splurged on a 2oz piece of Kobe beef. To be honest, I was surprised. it came out quite salty and I didn’t find it anything special. For me, it didn’t live up to the hype or justify the price tag, so I wouldn’t order it again. Overall, the service was excellent, the atmosphere was warm and classy, and the ribeye alone made the night special.
STELLAR food and service. We enjoyed excellent cocktails, appetizers, including raw oysters, and steak. The menu was extensive and although on the pricey side, it was not outrageous. We felt it was worth the price. They have a few seafood options but this is clearly a place where you want to order steak. The only negative was they asked if we were celebrating anything special, which we said we were, but then they did nothing to acknowledge it. Not a big deal but why ask in the first place? Otherwise, the service is exceptional. If you are able to sit upstairs outside, then we recommend it. Free parking on the street was a bonus. (Food was so good I got distracted and forgot to take pics until dessert 😔 Maybe that's a good sign.)
Very unassuming place from the outside but don't let this fool you. Everything inside is awesome. It is immediately noticeable because everyone greets you with a genuine smile. Waiter was very pleasant, taking time to give recommendations to us. We probably had five or six staff members helping us out through the experience and they were all extremely warm and welcoming and attentive. There was not one time during our 2.5 hours stay where my glass of water was close to being empty. Same thing with the drinks. A person which I assume was the shift manager also took time to make sure every guests in the steakhouse were having a good time. The whole thing really seems like a well-oiled operation and so the only thing that could go wrong would be the food. Food not only did not go wrong but it was the best piece of meat I have tasted thus far. I took the 14oz Black Opal Australian wagyu. Eating it was the easiest thing I did that day, the exterior was just hard enough to contain the inside which pretty much melted in the mouth. Old fashioned were also very tasty. My wife also enjoyed her steak very much. The only thing I really regret about my experience is that now I'm gonna have to go on a regular basis (OK I don't really regret it).
It was raining heavily outside when I went there. I sat by the window and enjoyed the delicious food accompanied by the rain outside the window. The steak was of good quality. We didn't even use any dipping sauce and it tasted delicious. The taste of the ingredients themselves was first-class. The service was good. It was my daughter's birthday that day, and they sent a chocolate cake very considerately. It was delicious 😋 A little expensive, but acceptable. I will come again next time!
