We booked Heaven on Earth Landscapes because we had some pre-existing planters that were crumbling badly in our garden. We also asked them to fill the gaps between our paving stones, as well as to sand and oil our pergola and decking. Our initial impression of the team was extremely positive. Anthony maintained good communication, his team were friendly and professional, always arriving on time. During the job, we had some concerns and these were addressed, in places the work was even re-done (for example the corners of the planters were not initially done right, and the planters were prepped in different way to what was initially agreed, but we were reassured about this). It felt frustrating that we had to point out certain things as above, but we appreciated Anthony’s ongoing respectful conversation. When looking at the overall appearance, we are very happy with the planters and have received compliments on this from friends and family. Unfortunately in the last couple of days the rest of the job was totally rushed. The pergola and the decking were very patchy in their appearance and sanding, with numerous areas where the old colour can still be seen and brush marks from where the oil has been unevenly applied. We will now have to re-do this ourselves, feeling like we’ve wasted money on this portion of the job. The paving slabs have got render stains on either side which has left them unsightly (this is in about half of the garden area). The tiles that made up the planters have small gaps between them and have not been filled - so when looking up close this does not look good. It just so happened that the team “finished” the job during a particularly busy week for us, and then we were away on holiday. Not wanting to delay payment, I sent the final payment straight away (a mistake on my part). Two weeks later when we finally were able to have a proper look at the garden, we noticed all of the above. I messaged Anthony to ask if we can arrange for the team to come back and finish the job / polish where things were rushed. I received no reply. Pictures attached - overall appearance of the planters, and close-ups of details as mentioned above. Also attached some pictures of planters as they were prior to the job starting. Overall it is a great improvement and looks lovely, but we are disappointed that it was not finished properly.
Following a move of house we inherited a tidy but rather "tired" garden and we decided we'd like a full-scale re-think. We got in touch with several firms but Tony from Heaven on Earth was the only one who really listened to us. The larger firms were clearly focused on the hardscaping aspects but when we tried talking about the planting they indicated this was subcontracted. Tony - whilst recognising the need to create an attractive and functional space - clearly loved plants. He suggested ways in which the plan we had had drawn up could be enhanced and throughout has responded positively to suggestions. Having agreed the contract the landscaping work got underway in some of the worst weather conditions. The guys that were doing the work - Jimmy and Johnny - were extremely pleasant and considerate. They were their own quality control and unprompted re-did bits that they felt weren't quite right. They kept us updated with planned work and despite the weather kept the drive as tidy and clean as possible. We're absolutely delighted with the end product and have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Heaven on Earth.
Anthony and his lads in heaven on earth landscapes did a fantastic job on our back garden. The project was to turn a small waterlogged, plain 3/4 grass and 1/4 broken and uneven flagged area, with just a small shed,into an area for a young lady who has autism, severe learning difficulties and epilepsy,and the remit was to take into account how the garden impacted those disabilities and to help bring her out into the garden which she was reluctant to use. I got a number of quotes and plans and Anthony's stood out a mile. He came out took measurements, listened to what plans I had and then gave his own ideas, ideas I would not have thought of and which we implemented. He kept in touch by email until the job could start, with updated plans, ideas and a start date. On the day they started the weather was atrocious and stayed that way for the first week, it never stopped raining, but they got on with the job without complaint or stopping, they didn't require anything from me and just got on with it without any fuss or hindrance to myself or the family.they did a solid day's work Monday to Friday and tidied up after themselves. They are a great bunch of lads, very personable,and they didn't even complain about the coffee and dry boring biscuits I supplied. They where not doing only one job but redesigning and building the whole thing. Indian stone flags, a water feature, artificial grass, a large bespoke covered gazebo, a gazebo like tunnel leading from the back door to the main gazebo and a raised flower bed for esthetics and privacy. They took around 3 weeks to complete the job and what a job it was, it is now fantastic the gazebo is big enough to fit a hot tub, rattan furniture and a propane fire pit, which will soon be in place, they curved the grass and flags so my daughter didn't have to transition from one to another when going into her summerhouse (which is a big thing). She and us absolutely love it. I am so glad we picked this company. It cost quite a bit of money what with all the work that needed doing and I was nervous in case it didn't work out the way we envisaged it, but it absolutely surpassed our expectations and money we'll spent. you really can't go wrong with heaven on earth. Edit, will try and add a few more pictures when it's got its furniture in.
We hired Tony and his team to overhaul our neglected unloved gardens. We already had designs to work from but Tony tweaked them to make improvements to the look and feel of both of the gardens and have them compliment rather than clash with our property. The guys worked hard through all weathers, and battled the removal of a loooot of soil (the previous owner had flagged above the damp course!), they made sure that the place was left tidy and safe (for our dogs) at the end of each day. We absolutely love our new gardens, and although the we're heading into a good old British winter, we've started to finally get use out of the space. (The arbour is the perfect space for an after work mulled wine!) I cant recommend this company enough, thanks guys :)
