Marta made my first visit seamless and so exciting! It was my first time trying sugaring after years of waxing and WOW! What took me so long, I’m not sure! Will be back and I’m confident I’m in great hands with Marta. Check in, the app, the entire process = easy-peezy! What a great business model.
I have been coming to hello sugar for years and today I was supposed to see my normal girl, Kayli. To my surprise she was no longer with the company and I was booked with someone else. Luckily I had Marta (who is beyond amazing and welcoming as well), but to not inform me that my appointment was switched to someone else is disappointing. Unfortunately, with the last minute switch I did cancel the brazilian and only had my underarms done. Kayli was the most amazing aesthetician and I will greatly miss her. Hopefully Hello Sugar will be more accommodating in communicating when an appointment has switched to someone else.
I have been going here for years and have experienced people that do my eyebrows better than others but I have never had a bad experience until today. My regular girl left and 40 min before my appointment I was switched to someone that I never had before. I could have been more specific about what I wanted but I don't think it is necessary to request that my eyebrows be waxed to be even, I figured that would be common sense, or not completely changing my eyebrow shape without asking when I am there for maintenance waxing. I also had been told by my previous girl that there is notes in my account for other people to read in the case my regular girl is not there, clearly those were not read at all. This girl waxed SO many times, over and over, it hurt so badly when it has never hurt from anyone else like this before. She waxed my brows so many times instead of going in with tweezers or trimmers like everyone else. At the end my skin is normally fine and I am offered cream to soothe but that was not offered, around my entire eyes it is puffy, red and painful. My eyebrows were completely a different shape, so very un-even, one of them is half the thickness they were before and resembles a semi-colon and the other is a totally different shape. I had nice, thick, even brows walking in. She waxed off all the hair in the middle that I had been working years to grow back with my previous girl. I don't even know what to say but the lack of consistency between people is bad. This is going to take me so long to fix and it is really disappointing that some people are clearly not trained or have the same ability as others. Again, I have never complained before, I have been a customer for 5 years and enjoyed my experience but this was truly awful. No tweezing, no trimming, just over-waxing to the point of pain, puffiness and redness, no offer if any cream to soothe, and again the shape is not only completely different from when I walked in, but also are not even at all.
I have been coming to Hello Sugar for the past couple of months and Andria has been the BEST! From our first appointment she was honest and patient with the waxing process. She explained I would experience some pain but honestly she does such an amazing job the pain doesn’t linger for long. She also does a phenomenal job explaining the after care and things to avoid. I love booking with Andria!
Due to poor customer service experiences, I have set the bar really low along with my expectations when visiting a new business for the first time. This saves my feelings from being hurt. I am not a stranger to who Hello Sugar is as a concept, but was a stranger to their services, and the on-site experience. I was given a visit as a gift while in Scottsdale last week. I walked in at my scheduled time, and from the back comes a young lady - Kayli. From the moment she greeted me, I let my guard down. She got me checked in with a smile and warmth, assured me that for our security that the door to where we were headed was locked and we got to it. I have only been waxed before, and never had a treatment of any kind done on my legs. She explained to me what we would be using after asking sugar or wax - she explained what she was doing to my legs before and after sugaring to protect my skin. While performing the service she continued to ask me if I was okay and how the process felt. During our session we had light convo about my being in town - and it just put me at ease overall at how engaged she was. She made me feel welcome, comfortable and accommodated in a way that I honestly didn't expect but should have known from their outstanding reputation. My legs though! So smooth, no irritation or side effects from the process and I personally did not feel any pain at all. By the end of it all, we were laughing and having a blast. She even offered suggestions on sites and places to see while I was in town. I ended up making an additional purchase of product that they offer for skin care. My visit was one of the highlights of my time in town. If I am ever back, I will make another appointment with this location and with Kayli because she was an amazing reflection of what I would think Hello Sugar is as a brand. Newest biggest fan? CHECK!
