Trying to get inside when it’s freezing outside is a bit of a hassle. Have to go through security first in a very small entryway, then immediately after you have to stop and get out your ID and show people sitting there you’re over 21 to get a wristband for alcoholic beverages. There’s no where to put your winter gear, it was about 5° outside when we went on 12/4/25, so people were stuffing their coats/etc in between a metal pillar and the free water station on the floor. (Free water station is a plus, but maybe put it somewhere else other then the middle of the room where people are standing to enjoy the show) There’s only 10 tables? Maybe. Several upstairs on small balcony and a few directly in front of the stage, other than that, you’re standing the whole time. So we had to stand there for 3+ hours, all while wearing our winter gear- carhartt coat, sweatshirt, hat, etc. We were drenched in sweat by time we left. Had some blue moons & angry orchards, can’t mess up beer. Bathroom was big and clean! Acoustics and sound in the saloon is great! Kashus sounded really good!
My favorite venue in Madison. Its small and intimate. Seating available in balcony included w GA ticket during most shows. Parking is easily found. Patio option during the show is really appreciated. Security/ticket sales/bartenders have always been great. Never had any issues and I've been to 20+ shows there. Bathrooms clean. Merch has a great location. Free water out at every show. Sometimes if there's low ticket sales, the won't open the balcony but there's bar tables still. Ive attended shows with maybe #30 people and sold out shows here. It's a long and narrow layout with 2 support beams in the middle but those are easily avoided. When checking for live music in Madison, I check High Noon first. Granted it won't be the biggest bands but its a great place to discover local bands or up and coming acts!
Great space! Have seen shows here for years from Madison Music Foundry’s Student Showcase to ANGELA PUERTA’S Shakira Tribute. Always a wonderful turnout of our community. And this space is RENTABLE as well as has MERCHANDISE! Host your next event is a wonderful historic site!
Went there for the first time last night. Great concert venue!! Parked a block away on the street and walked there. Both bands were great! They have fantastic acoustics, two bars open and seating on the balcony. Will definitely go back, we didn't have seats so by the end I was a little sore but was a fantastic show and staff there was very friendly. The crowd was super cool to!
The High Noon Saloon is a long time staple in the Madison area - which opened in 2004. (3 years after the fire which destroyed the O'Cayz Corral.) It's a fantastic, smaller-size, venue. There is a main floor, and an upper seating/standing section. Capacity for band/music events is about 250 people. Decent beer selection, mixed drinks and other liquid libations. Sound is good. (Much of this can depend on the equipment, set-up, and sound person.) Some solid acts make it through this venue, and tickets, for the most part, are definitely affordable most of the time. Unless Jack White decides to (surprise) play there! Plenty of room to stand, less places to sit. But if you get there early enough, you can do either. It's all credit or debit cards here - No Cash. If you have a band or artist that is playing here, do not hesitate on getting the tickets. And, in general...Life is too short to *not* purchase the tickets! Keep up the solid work High Noon!!
