I love coming here to have a beer. The staff are always very kind, and the outdoor seating feels wonderful on sunny days. I’ll definitely come back again soon!
An OG Portland place. So many memories here over the years. One of the best places in Portland to grab a beer. Perfect in basically every way. I compare every other beer spot in town to Hinterland. Please never go away!
Absolutely love this spot! There is a plethora of food carts to pick from with a wide range of food. There's Thai, Indian, BBQ, Pizza, American! All of them are great, I definitely play favorites with Matt's BBQ, but they are all good. However! The best part of this space is Hinterland, the actual bar. They have a HUGE selection of liquor, whiskey, amaro, they have a 10 tap rotating beer list that never disappoints, not to mention some of, if not, the best bartenders in Portland! I come every Sunday for trivia 7-9 😋. 12/10
Hinterlands is nestled between businesses and apartments buildings. It is like a house converted a food cart pod. 5 or so carts are on the north property line. There is outdoor seating in the front and back porch of the “house.” The bar is in the front of the house and indoor seating is in the middle. Matt’s BBQ Tacos seemed the most popular food cart. The place was definitely child and dog friendly.
My favorite beer and food cart spot. Great outdoor seating and plenty of dog water bowls. Indoor is also a great little spot to chill and have a drink. They serve cocktails as well. Also some great vegan options for food at the carts.
