This location is always an unenjoyable experience. Employees constantly in the way of the isles, which wouldn’t be a problem if they didn’t have such a bad attitude when trying to go around them. The store is too small for the chaos of items, employees restock carts, and shoppers with big carts with no mindfulness of others around them. I shouldn’t have a frustrating experience 30 seconds of walking inside.
I truly love HomeGoods and I am a loyal customer, but I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I just experienced. I recently bought 4 dining chairs at the Studio City location. The staff told me I could probably find the same chairs in other stores, so while driving around nearby locations, I was also calling different HomeGoods stores farther away to save time. When I called this location, a male employee answered. I started explaining what I needed help with and didn’t even get to give him the department number or style number yet — he put me on hold and came back saying they don’t have it in stock. He had no idea what I was looking for! I was shocked and asked him to please check again properly. I gave him all the details. After a few minutes he returned to the line saying: “Hi, how can I help you?” He completely forgot who he was talking to and what I was asking. Is this really the way HomeGoods employees should treat customers? I love this store and spend a lot of money here, but this type of service is unacceptable. I hope management pays attention and improves training, because loyal customers deserve better.
Terrible manager. I showed then 2 things that were damaged, asked if they could take a few bucks off, and she said that they were made like that by the vendor. I showed her a comparison with the other items that were in a good state, and she still insisted that they came like that by the vendor. I always get a few bucks off when I find damaged pieces in home goods and the manager or cashier are super friendly about it. She was pretty rude, not coming back here again :/
I continue to love this store -- and they need a little more love because the place is so empty compared to Marshall's downstairs! A little bit hidden on the building rooftop around the corner from Michael's. Spick and span new Home Goods. However the lighting is done, it feels like shafts of sunlight shifting gracefully across the entire store. Acres of shelves of new, beautifully organized wares -- pottery from a country has its own shelf and label, for example. High end product deals, like Le Crueset displayed for everyone to see. A seemingly endless row of kitchen gadgets - I even found my LeCrueset scouring sponges that are nowhere else. Holiday and special occasion products, too. The staff is friendly and very eager Hard to believe it is THE FIRST in LA when we've loved the one near LAX in Westchester for years. We wish them all the luck.
This location is amazing. It’s located on the top floor. I absolutely loved this store. You can find unique pieces to furnish your space. It’s clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. There is a huge parking garage across the street. Definitely going back. A shoppers paradise for sure.
