I have to share this story, i returned to my original place of hot Yoga on south blvd ,hot Yoga plus, i have been working a lot sitting , thought I was moving well enough until my knees began to freeze up as of november around the 11th 25 I went back to hot yoga and it is now january.8th going twice a week.Because my knees are so stiff and they stiffen up when I sit, whether i'm sleeping.or laying down. I have made small victories. I go to class.I'd be in a lot of pain when I come home.And the next day, the pain would be lighter. After a period of time going twice a week.I finally got through a point where I went through a lot of pain. After class And then I woke up the next day with no pain.And was able to move freely bending my knees again. as of January 8th in Sherri's class, I was able to actually stand on my knees, momentarily to do camel position.aor plan, as well as other postures that where I could barely put my knees on the floor it was screaming pain.. And several other postures, this is my prescription. Not only to regain my knees, but for longevity and good health . I'm i'm grateful to Chelsea ,Sherri, Susie, that I could share my knee issues they encourage the student to do what the student can do, Today small victory were made in nemoures postures.. They are serious when they say lock the knee lock the knee. It was painful, but I would lock it. And now I believe the synovial fluid is returning I really listened to the teachers on how they explained the dialogue. And I do my very best to do that dialogue to the best of my ability. I went to this Yoga studio for 7 years up to 2007, every instructor was passionate about their practice and took time to help us with our own form and meditation. I miss living in the area and I miss this studio so much!
Hot Yoga Houston provided me with an intense yet fulfilling workout experience during my most recent visit. The instructor delivered zen-like drill sergeant training which helped my stress disappear as quickly as summer heat makes ice cream melt.
The teachers are knowledgeable and supportive. The front desk staff is always helpful and friendly. There's great class variety (yoga, Pilates, HIIT). It is inspiring to see many loyal longtime students, and the community is welcoming and classes are accessible to new students.
I truly love this studio and all the teachers and students who make it what it is. Hot yoga found me in Savannah at a time when I needed it the most, and it has become an essential part of my life. No matter what is going on or how busy things may become, I always find peace and connection to my true north on my yoga mat. I can’t do justice to the experience, but I would encourage anyone to give it a try. I am so thankful for the day — now 13 years ago — that I did!
