The venue was amazing and everything we needed was there! My guest and I had a great time and I couldnt have asked for a better venue and experience! We were very pleased with the venue and definitely recommend!
This is a scam, do not rent this venue!! This place seemed a little off to me from the beginning, but I met Tori (the owner) in person, and paid her in full for the venue. I have a contract with Tori, but due to COVID my event was cancelled in February; my event was scheduled for April. At that time I was in full contact with Tori and had agreed to wait for a date when i would be able to have my event. Since the climate around this issue has not changed much, i gave Tori a call and asked for a refund because I was cancelling. Tori agreed to give me 1/2 of the full amount of $550 that I had paid to rent the venue. She never sent me this refund, when i called her to have her send it, she told me she was confused and had to look at her system because she thought she had sent it. When i asked her for a refund initially, I told her to use Zelle, CashApp or Venmo (i paid her $550 CASH). She claimed that she had sent it through Paypal, but i never used paypal for any transaction with Tori (so how can she have myu info?) and she never sent me any confirmation that she had done this. This is where the scam began, she just has never refunded any money to me. NOW I AM ASKING FOR A FULL REFUND, since I have not been able to contact tori for more than 4 months. Tori has not issued me a refund for an event that was supposed to happen back in April of this year (2020). As of today (10/06/2020), Tori has avoided all of my text messages, calls, tweets, and emails. I also submitted a complaint with the BBB. I must have already called the business number more than 50 times, and I still have yet to be contacted by anyone regarding this issue. I really don't want anyone else falling victim to this scam; Tori is deceiving and just wants to take your money and not even book a date for an event. PLEASE DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH TORI!!!! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!!!
The hostess was super fantastic from beginning to end - from being very responsive and always eager to help with any questions along the way. My general experience was smooth and exciting when event planning can certainly be stressful instead of enjoyable! The space itself was so versatile in terms of decorating and was much larger than expected. My guests truly felt they time-warped back to the 90s with my 90's theme birthday party. It was a wonderful space in Downtown Jersey City with 30 attendees. I would most certainly book again!
Organizamos nuestro baby shower en el local y funcionó muy bien. Había entre 30 y 35 personas. El lugar contaba con varias mesas de diferentes tamaños que usamos para colocar la comida, los regalos y una estación de bebidas. Teníamos que traer nuestras propias mesas de 6 pies de largo (3 mesas) para que los invitados se sentaran a comer. Usamos las sillas plegables que se proporcionaron en el espacio (unas 25 sillas, creo). Mis dos quejas fueron: (1) la sala se volvía muy ruidosa solo por la conversación de la gente; es solo la acústica de la sala; y (2) no hay una cocina, aparte de un refrigerador. Un fregadero sería útil para vaciar bebidas o limpiar cosas. También debes estar preparado para traer TODO lo que necesites, desde enfriadores hasta vajilla para beber y un reproductor/altavoz de música (no pudimos hacer funcionar el que había allí). Pero el espacio es prácticamente un lienzo en blanco, así que puedes decorarlo como quieras. Colocamos globos y pancartas, y usamos manteles y centros de mesa con la paleta de colores que yo quería. Las guirnaldas de luces colgantes que vienen con el lugar son un gran toque. Además, Viktoria fue fácil de tratar y muy receptiva. Ten en cuenta que tendrás que comprar un “seguro de eventos” según su contrato. Eso fue un gasto inesperado de 170 dólares que tuvimos que pagar.
Solo a un breve paseo desde el sendero de Grove St, este local comercial en planta baja es una oportunidad rara para albergar una pop-up shop, una reunión o para celebrar una ocasión. El patio será agradable a medida que el tiempo se vaya calentando y el acceso a nivel de calle es tan conveniente. Recomiendo encarecidamente este espacio.
