The Dark Horse Café is beautifully combined with the store, providing coffee and snacks alongside books for a refreshing experience. A wonderful piano on the second floor is available for customers to play. The store is clean, tidy, and well organized—truly a book store worth visiting.
Went to many indigo locations, including Easton center, Fairview mall, Yonge-Eglinton whatever, the well, and honestly I think this is the most cozy indigo and I like it more than the indigo located in the well. They have a teens section w a bean bag (wish there’s more seats but yeah) where you could sit and chill, also many floors w toys and ofc diff genres of books
I’m surprised at my shopping experience in store today. In the past, I’ve had no issue of staff being helpful and grabbing a book for me. Even buying this series, Berserk, which the store keeps off the shelves because they are very large. Understandable. But when I went shopping today, one of the volumes I needed, it said they had one copy in store. I asked a staff member near the manga section, and he said it should be on the shelf. When I said it wasn’t and they keep it somewhere else, they just need to grab it, he said he could not help me and to ask someone else. He wasn’t busy and just walking around, so I guess he just didn’t want to help me. So I asked one of the cashiers, and she said it should be in the manga section, and if it wasn’t, all she could offer was to order it online. But I didn’t want to order it online when the website says there’s a copy in store. She said they have inventory issues and what the website says is not accurate. Anyways, this is VERY annoying. Is this a seasonal staff issue where they aren’t trained properly? I’ve never had this issue before in this store. Why did no one want to go into the back to check for the book I wanted? You’re missing out on a sale because it’s not like this book is cheap. Please correct your staff.
📕 This specific Indigo is adorable! It includes a cute piano, well organized isles and amazing options of books. I had no idea what to buy, so my broke ass didn't buy anything. 🌎 If you're a tourist here form wherever, or just a girl in her 20s, (because for some reason that's 90% of the demographic in Indigo,) come get your new book that you'll read two pages of and leave in your closet for years. 😀 All in all, it's got friendly staff, good reads and just a great vibe! Heather (the CEO) can be thanked for that but the vibe part, well that's the fact it's mostly women in their. Let's be real, they are calmer and better then us (I'm a man.)
Love the concept of Indigo. It's a dream for book lovers. There's everything you need there. Cool books, cool merchandise, coffee space, meet up space, tables, children area to play and other amazing stuffs. Being new to the coutnry, it was my first time going there but it will definitely not be my last. I think I found my favourite store in Toronto. 🍁🌸📖☕️
