This was my first time ever going down the Willamette and my first time seeing the Christmas Ships Parade — and doing it on Portland’s only Island Style Charter / Tiki Boat made it absolutely magical. The boat vibe was cozy, festive, and so fun. Cruising down the river with holiday lights reflecting on the water felt surreal, and getting to watch the parade from the water was honestly the perfect way to see the Christmas ships. I had an amazing time and felt so taken care of from start to finish. Whether you book a public ride or a private charter, I highly recommend experiencing the Christmas Ships from this boat. It’s such a cool, unique Portland memory — I’d do it again in a heartbeat! 🎄✨🛥️
Amazing trip! Captain Dale and the crew are awesome and the views are incredible. Every time I go out on the water it's super fun and never gets old. If you want a cool adventure and really chill ride, you've got to try this cruise!
Such an absolute delightful experience on Captain Dale's tiki boat. The boat is in immaculate condition, clean, restroom on board and plenty of room for at least 25. We lucked out and we're a small group for the afternoon tiki happy hour palapa party, 4 adults and 3 kiddos. The kids got to play their hearts out (putting, hula hooping, corn hole). The crew was small but mighty, serving drinks/snacks and keeping us entertained. The kiddos even had a chance to steer/drive the boat one at a time (thank you for that very special moment). Josiah, was our host, he was so very kind and patient with all the kids. Sharing tidbits of fun info about the river history and houses along the way. I highly recommend this, especially during the summer months. They offer private charters and even could host a small wedding/birthday! Thank you for having us!
I had the best time on the Island Style Charters boat. It truly was an amazing time. I’ve taken the Portland Spirit happy hour, and while it was not bad, this is far better. It had the vibe of “my dad took me for a day out in the boat”. All the drinks I had were only 5 or 6 dollars, and they had games with prizes on board which was perfect for the younger guests. Since it’s a smaller vessel, we were able to go on the shallower side of Ross Island and I found that section magical. Thank you so much for a great afternoon!
Our family had the best day out on the river with Dale and his amazing crew. We quickly made friends with everyone on the boat and had a great time playing fun games and taking in the beautiful scenery. Our teens loved the golf putting games, snacks and trivia! The ride is smooth and Dale points out some really great sites. It’s like a party on the water and you get to see a lot of the river - like 5 bridges, beautiful homes and wildlife. They had a nice bar onboard with great beers and drinks and at great prices, too. They also have a bathroom - which is great when you’re having a few drinks! We loved the vibe, the spacious boat and getting to know all the other people and crew. This was one of our favorite activities in Portland! A wonderful day - can’t wait to come back and go again.
