Julie is one of Edinburgh’s best kept secrets. When she’s not being stylist of choice on campaign shoots, she’s working her magic from her space at Out of the Blue Drill Hall in Leith. And I’ve been lucky enough to be a client for the past seven years. Her artistic talents know no end. At my first appointment, she took charge of my unruly, shoulder-length hair and turned it into a perfectly defined bob. I’ve now moved into the world of grey hair management, and she’s just as good with colour. I’m always amazed at what a great set of lowlights and highlights can achieve. Julie always listens to what you want and never pushes you into anything you don’t - although I’ve been gently swayed in the right direction a couple of times. It’s like catching up with a friend who just happens to be brilliant at hair. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
Jules has expertly done my hi-lights & cut More times than I can remember over the years. There's a reason I will always go back to her. She is an ABSOLUTE ROCK STAR With her Artistic Talents. Julie has Passion for Hair Creation running through her Heart. Her skillful & Fun Nature makes Every Visit with her FABULOUS.
I’ve searched for years to find someone who can cut my hair and understand what I was really after.. Due to all her years of experience on film shoots she has an extra stylish edge to her work. She’s one of the most sought after stylists in Scotland. On top of that Julie is such a wonderful soul!
Julie always creates a lovely atmosphere. She has done my hair on many occasions including transforming my hair from very dark brown to blonde with minimal sittings and no damage to my hair whatsoever. I’ve used her for events such as my prom and had so many nice compliments on my hair ups and makeup. Would definitely recommend Julie to anyone who needed their hair or makeup done for any occasion:)
Julie is an absolutely amazing hairdresser! I’ve been going to Julie for years and would never go anywhere else! What a fantastic experience from start to finish. Welcomed by coffee and biscuits, great chat, a wonderful hair wash, an expert hair cut and a beautiful blow dry. Julie also cut my long hair short for charity one time…we made a donation to the Little Princess Trust which is for a fantastic cause. Thank you so much Julie. You are the BEST!
