I took my two Belgian Malinois to Shannon for boarding and training. As soon as we got there i could tell the dogs would be in good hands. Everyone there was super friendly, Shannon gave us a tour of the facility, and the puppies were very comfortable! We left them there for about 10 days, and when we got them back we were very happy with how much they learned. Of course they are puppies and will require alot of homework and continued training, but Shannon really helped lay the foundation and gave us the tools to get these guys to where we want them to be! Thank you K9university and Shannon! We will be back for more training in the future and I'm sure Chief and Mali will want to come visit!!
Update on 9/10/2025: We took our pupper on a trek across the USA! After her training at K9 with Taylor and Shannon, she loves to take a ride instead of hiding! 7/2025: Our pupper went to K9 University for a week of boarding and training. She is a rescue and has been very timid but is a very good girl. We were going out of town, so we decided to have her get some basic training while getting used to being in a boarding situation. Her trainer, Taylor, along with all the other girls, were fantastic with Avery. She was scared at first but really opened up and learned a lot. Make sure you keep up the work at home! We plan to get her scheduled for some Intermediate level training, and we will use K9 University for boarding in the future.
Today was graduation day!! 💝 We brought our pup Phoebe to K9 University for basic obedience and loved it! This class provided practical tips and training for our young goldendoodle. Trainer, Cheyenne (sp?) was friendly & knowledgeable every step of the way. We will be back for more advanced training soon!
K9 University is the most amazing training place and Shannon D has provided very recent excellent training services for my 90lb puppy that had way more energy than I could train! Their techniques are reliable and I appreciate they aren’t treat based training and they’ve trained several of my dogs over the years. Shannon has provided very consistent talented training measures for Auri that I was otherwise failing at! Thank you for also helping us graduate from Basic obedience this week!!
We did a basic obedience course with K-9 with our two toy aussies. When we had to be gone for ten days without a babysitter, we decided to board them In boot camp for some extended training. Shannon is a dog whisperer. She has a way about her that is firm yet compassionate. She really ants her trainees to succeed. Our issues were barking without being able to get them to stop, not listening to commands such as sit, stay, down. Really the basics but hard s we tried we couldn’t get it done with them. Shannon got all of that done. We are amazed with our new dogs. Day one we had a person come to the door and I to the house. We are okay with a warning bark But the first time we said quiet……they stopped barking. Truly amazing. Please take your fur babies to Shannon and let her help. The entire staff at K-9 are experienced and friendly and love their guest dogs! Thank you Shannon and K-9!!!! C Valentine and Gracie send their love….woof woof!
