The sushi is consistently fresh, carefully prepared, and delicious! I have one concern: They are so busy that, if you try ordering delivery after 6pm, it can take AGES to arrive, which is not fair to the drivers and annoying to the diners.
Unfortunately, the day I picked up my order the restaurant was prepping for a catering event so I didn't get a real feel for the atmosphere. Also, when I placed my order on-line there was no mention that the restaurant would be closed to the general public due to a scheduled event. I lucked out by ordering in advance. No biggee, but I would have been somewhat upset if I had made the trip only to be turned away due to a planned event.
We found this gem while strolling through town before going to a local show. The dining room was inviting and well appointed. We were pleasantly surprised to find that food absolutely delicious. I've had a few Lion King rolls before but I'd have to say this was the best I ever had. Definitely go to Kakui Sushi when you are in town.
Best sushi I’ve had. Fish is fresh and every piece is full of flavor. Kenny’s the man and provides great service. Sit at the counter, the chef is fun and personable. I recommend the Alicia Roll and if it’s on special, the Mexican Summer Roll. Pair it with the Kinoshiro unfiltered sake to wash it down with and you got yourself one heck of a date night. Worth. Every. Dollar.
Friendly service. Tasty sashimi with good oil flavors. The miso dashi fries was surprisingly addictive. Good relaxing atmosphere.
