I chose KC K9 Academy based on the Google reviews, and I’ve had such an excellent experience — the reviews truly don’t lie! I apologize if this review is long, but it might be the reason you decide to schedule a consultation. My girl Millie (a five-year-old pit/chow mix) completed the three-week board and train program. I’ve had her since she was a puppy, and over the past few years her reactivity, anxiety, and resource guarding (just of me) had become overwhelming. It got to the point where I was constantly anxious taking her outside, encountering other dogs, or even when she heard someone or something outside our house. Finances were honestly a big reason I waited so long to get her proper training, but it was genuinely one of the best investments I’ve ever made. I went into the program with low expectations — not just because of her age, but because I wanted to be realistic and understood that success isn’t guaranteed. Not every training method works for every dog. That said, I was completely blown away by her progress by the end of the first week. Ryan, Avary, and Kylie are amazing. I had a million questions at the end of every week, and they were always patient and thorough, making sure I felt confident continuing the training at home. I can now confidently say I’m no longer anxious taking her outside to potty, going for walks, seeing other dogs, or having strangers around. She previously had some distrust of other dogs due to a past incident with an aggressive dog, but I’ve watched my once-anxious, wary dog grow more confident every single day. KC K9 Academy has not only improved my relationship with my dog, but truly changed our day-to-day lives for the better. I will definitely have all of my future dogs complete training with them. So yes — book the consultation and see for yourself!
