I visit when I am in New Orleans. I have purchased 3 items from them, French 18th century liquuer set, beautiful large set of 19th century gold leaf and various hand painted fowl, and a ring for my wife. They were always courteous, negotiate a little if possible and quick transactions. Good service. I will keep visiting….
So excited to visit. I have window shopped at this specific antique store for years. I was so happy that it was open and I was even happier when I met Donna. She greeted me immediately, she showed me stunning jewelry (even though it was not in my price range). She made me feel so welcome and comfortable. There are times in other places, if I am not an obvious buyer, the greeting by staff has not been as attentive. This was not the case, not only was Donna an absolute star, her coworkers were kind and helpful. It felt like walking through an exquisite art collection with friends. The pieces are AMAZING! Visiting this store and talking with the staff was a highlight of the day. I brought my husband the next day, Donna again greeted us with a smile and everyone was just as kind as the day prior.
While on a recent visit to New Orleans my husband and I stopped into Keil's on Royal St. We've popped in on prior trips but this was the first time we spoke with one of their sales associates. Olga couldn't have been nicer and ended up giving us a guided tour of their 2nd floor. If we'd had more time, she'd had accompanied us to their 3rd floor as well. (Who knew they had 3 floors of treasures?!?) If you like antique shopping (browsing) in a beautiful, curated environment, be sure to stop in.
The store is stunning and filled with everything from furniture to jewelry. The employees, especially Roberta, were friendly and knowledgeable about various items. We had a wonderful time shopping here!
Saturday July 12, 2025. Absolutely unacceptable experience. If I could give this zero stars I would. I came into Kelly Antique with three of my girlfriends to browse for something special for my wedding. Something to gift to myself that I could pass down one day. The moment we walked in, we were laughed at. No greeting, no warmth, just mockery from four older hags behind the desks. It was demeaning and honestly disgusting. We were prepared to buy antique earrings for my big day, but the way we were treated made it clear our presence wasn’t welcome. It felt biased, racist, and disrespectful. If this is how they treat potential customers, I can’t imagine how they treat others they deem “out of place.” These women have no business in customer service or working with the public. Save yourself the disrespect and spend your money where you’re treated like a human being. Maybe it was because we came in with rain tarps but everyone. Deserves common human decency.
