Kōena Spa is my go to place for real relaxation. The space is absolutely beautiful and thoughtfully designed with plenty of hot tubs and quiet areas so it never feels crowded or chaotic. What I love most is the atmosphere. It is calm and peaceful without being painfully silent like some Nordic spas, so you can quietly chat and actually enjoy the experience with friends. The steam rooms and hot saunas are excellent and feel luxurious. On top of that, the restaurants are surprisingly amazing, which makes it easy to turn a spa visit into a full day experience. Consistently relaxing, well run, and worth returning to again and again.
If you're looking for a relaxing day with friends, or your significant other, this is the place to be. I enjoyed my time here during the winter and am looking forward to returning during the summer for a slightly different experience. I highly recommend grabbing a bite to eat at the lounge while sitting by the fire, or catching one of their "shows" while taking in the heat from one of their many saunas.
Always a lovely stop when coming here. Had a beautiful lymphatic massage from Vincent and was very happy with the massage & professionalism through out My treatment. Felt the difference straight away and was very relaxed leaving my massage. Followed up the day with saunas & cold plunge and a little time in the hot pools. Love this place and rate it more than nordik recently.
I love this place! I go usually at least once a week because of the great prices!! It’s so beautiful inside and out and the staff is always lovely. I finally tried the Malama spa upstairs and had a facial. Océanne at the front desk was absolutely lovely and very helpful. Sawsen, who did my facial, was terrific. So professional and my face felt and looked amazing afterwards!!! I’ve truly never had a better facial! My only complaint would be that some guests don’t respect the quiet rule and ruin it for everyone else. The staff do try their best to manage the noise but it’s not always possible.
Great investment if in Ottawa/Gatineau and looking to do some self-care. The day pass is an excellent bargain for all the accesses you get! Everything in these photos is included in the day pass(apart from meals and drinks) Way too many choices on easy ways to unwind. The steam bath was my highlight(picture missing) Didn't even know it was there! Saw it on our way out and had to experience it plus love that they make provision for the salt bath in the steam room. The meals were great and so were the portions sizes for the price. The snacking and drink options were also reasonably priced! Staff were generally great. I felt more at home here despite the smaller venue than at Nordic which felt very formal and structured.
