My daughter has lessons with Kevin for several years, first with ukulele, then guitar. Because of these lessons, she picked up clarinet and can read music and tabs. More importantly, Kevin has been able to instruct her past her self-confidence issues so that she looks forward to the lessons and wants to improve. Highly reccomend.
I've spent 10 years practicing guitar (acoustic and electric) with Kevin Z as my teacher, and it was absolutely worth it. We learned cool songs for fun, I got to make songs, and we thoroughly went through music theory and putting it into practice. I personally learned finger picking alongside my standard guitar practice and am very grateful for the lessons Kevin taught me. If you take it seriously and really put in the work, Kevin will be right there with you helping you along the way. I not only know how to play a lot of my favorite songs, but I can independently learn and practice new songs on my own using what I was taught. On top of all that, Kevin is a good friend, can play multiple instruments, 30 + years of guitar playing (not including teaching experience!) and has flowing Rockstar hair! 10/10 would recommend!
Kevin is hands down the best instructor for all ages. He has taught my daughter and then this old guy how to play the guitar. His patients and ability to relate to your desires is what all teachers should do. If your not taking lessons from him your missing out!
Kevin is a great guitar and piano player and an awesome teacher. He can help improve musicians at any level! He’s also a great guy. If you’re looking for a music teacher, Kevin is definitely you’re man!
Kevin is an amazing teacher. My son has taken both guitar lessons and piano lessons with him for several years. My son always looks forward to lessons as the highlight of the week. Kevin has always been patient with my son and has gone out of his way to accommodate his scheduling needs. Very professional and highly recommended! -Jamie Zerr-Lockwood
