Great Mexican cuisine in West Seattle! Love the festive atmosphere and friendly staff. Spacious, good for large groups and the FOOD is delicious!!!! I had the mole chilequeles with carnitas, best mole. My sister order the scrumptious tres leches French toast, the kids had omelettes and birria chilequeles. Definitely coming back to try dinner. Gracias La Chingona!

I still can’t believe we came across a Mexican restaurant that is authentic, delicious, and overall amazing-vibes. The server that greeted us was so friendly and welcoming. The rest of the staff just the same. We got a wet steak burrito & chicken taco. The marinade on the chicken was incredible! So so good. The wet burrito was also delicious, but I definitely want to try it with chicken as the protein because it was that good. The environment was full of cultured & kind folks. Will definitely be coming back when I’m in town!!

I’m originally from San Diego, California so I think I’m somehow entitled to say what good Mexican Foods is. Anyway all jokes aside. The food I’ve had at La Chingona is very good. I really enjoyed the atmosphere as it reminds me of restaurants in my hometown of San Diego. I’ll definitely be eating here often when I’m craving some Mexican cuisine made with love. Just hanging out in this restaurant is a good experience. Do try it for yourself!

I had Chilaquiles Rojos, they were really good and plate was well served, very good vibe since you first second you step in. Their theme is very Mexican I can feel the Mexican Culture. The cherry on top was the espresso machine I'm a big fan of Iced Coffees and this was one of the very little places I can Have my breakfast and my Iced Latte wich was Perfect, very tasty, not too sweet, perfect amount. Service was quick and friendly. I highly recommended.

This restaurant was incredible—delicious food and wonderfully kid-friendly. Every bite brought me back to the meals my Mexican grandmother made when I was a child. I even teared up as we left because the tamales tasted just like hers from back home in the Midwest. I loved losing myself in the food and the memories it stirred. The kids’ portions and pricing were fair, but many regular menu items felt expensive. Seattle prices explain some of it, yet for the $90 we spent I wished for slightly larger portions to bring home, as other Hispanic restaurants often provide. We ordered margaritas, but they were smaller than what we’re used to for the price—a drawback that makes us hesitate about coming back often. The chips and salsa were outstanding—some of the best I’ve had—but not complimentary, which was disappointing since most places include generous servings to take home. The seating, however, was fairly simple and casual—not as polished as I expected for cuisine of this quality. Even with those drawbacks, the authentic flavors and warm atmosphere earn a solid four stars. It feels like a special-occasion spot for us, though I’d happily return for lunch if the budget allows. My craving for chicken tamales started when my mom told me about making tamales with her new neighbors back in the Midwest. I’d once tried mole in Detroit and didn’t care for it, but their mole here completely changed my mind—light, flavorful, and perfectly paired with the grilled chicken.
