I made a reservation here specifically for their vegan options. We ordered the warm apple salad which was good. We also ordered their carbonara chicken pasta, pesto pasta and vegan pizza. The pesto pasta was good but the carbonara pasta and the vegan pizza were terrible. The vegan cheese was added after the pizza was cooked so it was cold and not melted at all. This is the first time I tried a pizza with cold cheese. I couldn't have more than one slice. The server was not great either. She kept forgetting bringing us stuff. Would not recommend this place.
We were craving pizza and decided to check out La Pizzaio—and it turned out to be so much more than just a great meal. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we had been transported to Italy. We sat on the charming terrace under a canopy of grape leaves, which set the perfect atmosphere. The pizzas were incredible—fresh, flavourful, and clearly made with care. The salad was crisp and refreshing, and the mars crème brûlée was the perfect sweet ending. But the real highlight was Marco, the owner. He spent so much time chatting with us, sharing stories about the ingredients and the care that goes into every dish. His passion and hospitality truly made the experience unforgettable. We felt so welcomed and appreciated—this place is a gem. Highly recommend!
I don’t usually like to eat pizza when I’m vacationing in other countries; however, this place caught my friends' and my attention. We had to come and try it. First of all, the pizza itself is so beautifully done. I’ve never seen a pizza that breaks from the circular shape into this organic shape. There’s no bread since the pizza is made on a thin base of cheese. The pizza was delicious. I would also like to point out that the owner is extremely friendly and cares a lot about customer service. Big points for that.
One of the must places to eat from when you visit Quebec City. I have never had pizzas like this before. i really liked the energy of their owner, he took his time in explaining us the menu and his suggestions were really good. The complimentary starter was awesome and the pizzas also came fast and tasted really good.
Can pizzas leave you speechless? Go to this place and you’ll find the answer is yes. Few adjectives can accurately describe how outstanding, unique, and delicious the food is at this cozy pizza place. Marco, the owner, warmly described each dish we ordered and his companion, the chef, put love into each appetizer and pizza we had. Fresh ingredients put on top of perfectly baked, light and crispy pizzas made for an unforgettable culinary experience. And don’t forget the cocktails which were wonderful. A “wow” kind of place. Go here!
