Just had my 50th party there with about 30 friends and family joining me. The staff were great, and especially our server Kaylee who went above and beyond for group. The food, the atmosphere, and the service were all top notch and I can't say or rave enough about La Roca. We will 1000% be back.

I visited this restaurant back in June 23 or 23, 2022 at roughly 7pm . I ordered the tacos in the picture (idk what’s it called) and churros. I mainly considered this restaurant for churros but while the tacos were decent the churros were not. They are cooked and soft quite different from the ones in Saskatoons bar burritos where they are crunchy, tasty, sugary taste quite nice something I’m would be willing to try again. But, since this experience I was not willing to try a new restaurant for their churros due to this particular experience. The bar tender asks too many questions. I would have preferred for a quiet service. Get food. Eat. Pay. And leave. Sometimes perhaps suggestions for anything extra.

We had dinner at La Roca and unfortunately, it was a bit of a letdown for our team. We started with both the chicken and pork chicharrones. Despite being deep-fried, they weren’t as crispy or flavorful as we had hoped—on the contrary, they were quite tough and oddly soggy. We also tried both the creamy habanero cucumber and chipotle sauces, but neither added much to the experience. On a more positive note, the guacamole was the highlight of the evening—fresh, well-seasoned, and thoroughly enjoyed by all of us. I ordered the steak tacos, but sadly, I couldn’t finish them. The steak had a soft, bouncy texture that strongly suggested it had been soaked in baking soda, which left an unpleasant aftertaste. My coworker, who’s not usually picky about textures, also agreed that the flavor didn’t hit the mark. If we had to recommend something, it would be the barbacoa enchiladas. Those were decent and much more satisfying. We finished the meal with churros. My coworkers liked them, especially with the chocolate and caramel sauces, but I personally found them a bit too greasy. They’re definitely best enjoyed while still hot. All in all, we appreciated the ambiance and the effort, but the food just didn’t meet our expectations. Hopefully, the restaurant will make some adjustments because the concept and location have potential.

Went for the first time and really enjoyed the ambience. The patio was really nice and there was a man singing which added to the atmosphere. I ordered the steak tacos and was disappointed. They must have been sitting a bit as the bottom of the tortilla was already falling apart. The steak was supposed to be grilled, but it looked boiled. The texture was fine but there wasn't a lot of flavor. I also didn't enjoy the refried beans - they weren't seasoned well and needed salt. The corn was the best part. I was expecting a bigger portion for the price. I don't think I'll go here again.

Good drinks and okay tacos, but I wasn't a fan of the side dishes. Service was alright, though disjointed and seemed to be somewhat rushing dishes out rather than taking their time (she did give a good recommendation for dessert). It was also expensive for what you get. I may come back but with other coworkers and ordering different dishes.
