I am grateful everyday for the wonderful vet team that helped save my precious rabbit Chai from stasis. They showed me they genuinely cared and updated me often during his hospitalization. Thankfully I was able to bring him home and with the exotic vets advice we have thankfully not had any reoccurrences 🤞
My experience was exceptional. I greatly appreciated the care and the time they took to explain everything. Highly satisfied and will definitely recommend.
They have always been wonderful, even in the hardest moments. From treating our dog Teslas cancer and ultimately performing the amputation of her leg. Then later imidiately trying to revive her when we rushed her in to the clinic experiencing cardiac arrest. They always tried their best and did everything they could for her. This past spring they did what they could for our other dog Lennoxs cancer and helped give us just a little bit more time to say goodbye. Then yesterday when our new dog ate a couple disposable gloves they saw him very quickly after I brought him in and gave him meds to help him vomit them back out. It was quick and easy. All the staff were very kind, helpful and considerate, like they always are. I'm very grateful for their services and all they have done for my animal family over the years. Here's our boy Cookies & Cream with his best friend Freyja snuggled up in front of the fire. He's feeling much better after yesterday's ordeal thanks to Centre Vétérinaire Laval.
I brought my rabbit in late at night for an emergency visit after noticing possible GI stasis symptoms. The veterinary technicians were very kind and empathetic, and we were seen around midnight. Despite it being a busy night, Dr. Lachapelle took the time to assess my bunny carefully and explain his concerns. He stabilized her and clearly went over possible causes and treatment options, including hospitalization versus home care. We chose to bring her home with medications, and she improved over the next couple of days. I really appreciated Dr. Lachapelle’s honesty and compassion: even though he isn’t an exotic-certified vet, he demonstrated strong clinical judgment regarding my bunny and made us feel supported. I was also aware that no exotic vet was on site during weekend/after hours when I was registering at the front desk and signed consent papers. The only part that I wish was discussed with me was that my bunny was sedated for attempted blood work. While I requested the blood work to be done, he did not warn me about possible need for sedation. My bunny turned out to be quite resistant to the sedation, leading to two attempts and in the end the blood tests couldn’t be done. However, Dr. Lachapelle promptly reversed the sedation and updated me about everything later on. The clinic is transparent about the cost of the visit and treatments. Dr. Lachapelle was also very understanding of my situation and provided insight on the costs of different treatment “plans” and his opinion about each of them given my bunny’s condition. Overall, I’m grateful for the care and professionalism from Dr. Lachapelle and the wonderful technicians that night. They were patient, transparent, and genuinely caring, and my bunny recovered well thanks to their help.
This fabulous Veterinary Hospital of Laval is an excellent place to go.🌴 The warm decor with beautiful plants, the nice welcome at the reception, the magnificient doctor and nurse who took good care of my gorgeous Sky were incredible.
