Delicious handmade dumplings and wontons! The pickled radish is excellent too! Presumably Ms/Mrs. Lin who was cooking came over to our table and discussed the dishes with us. Everything was fresh and delicious, will definitely be back!
Go to Lin Dumpling now! Their XLB are DELICIOUS, super thin skin with lots of meat. We all thought they were better than Tasty Dumpling. Pork chive dumplings were also very solid, especially with their home made chili sauce. The standout dish was the Sichuan water boiled beef, which they called Spicy Chili Broth. It’s authentic and amazing. There were sliced potatoes, Napa cabbage, broccoli, and zucchini inside. Not too salty with great depth of flavor. Others at the restaurant had the fish version which also looked great. But beware, it is SPICY. They’ve been open one week, and we will definitely be back. They will be our go to dumpling place and we are looking forward to trying their noodle dishes next time. The servers were two young guys, looked like one the son of the chef, and the mom was giving them tips on how to be attentive to customers. Take it easy on them, they’re still learning. Edit round two: highly enjoyed their beef brisket noodle soup, made with hand pulled noodles. Personally liked the chili broth beef over fish. Salt and Pepper fish was very tasty (perhaps can use a little less salt). Will keep coming back!
Lin Dumpling is a wonderful family-run restaurant making incredible food. The family is so genuine. We were so happy with our first experience there and we’ll definitely be back. This restaurant is going to do so well.
My family was delighted to try Lin Dumpling and see a new authentic Chinese food spot in Sacramento! We stopped by on a rainy day and everything was perfect comfort food - the wonton and dumpling soups were made in a delicious bone broth, the soup dumplings were clearly made with care and expertise (look at how intricately wrapped they are!), and the freshly made noodles were so impressive and tasty. We are so glad we stopped by this new family-run restaurant and hope it is here to stay. It was awesome to see so many diners on a Monday lunchtime (nearly full house!) and even then service was lovely and speedy.
I had the pork bao and the mashed taro. The warm mashed taro is the perfect treat for these misty cold fall evenings. The bao bun was so fluffy and soft. The sauces were super flavorful. The restaurant is clean and customer service was generous, polite, and positive. I’m excited to have them come to the neighborhood.
