You will get a customized study program for your kids with Lionheart Tutoring, LLC. Mr. Dan understands my boys’ academic needs and their personalities. He adjusts his approach to suit their unique learning styles. My older one likes challenge, but cannot handle frustration very well, while my younger one cannot focus too long, but can handle difficulties. It is amazing when you hear the growth from a tutor who only spends 30 minutes with each of them and adjust their homework according. The other great thing is that Mr. Dan will prepare them for future study. He is very aware of our local school district’s curriculum. With his expertise, he will do some training topics ahead of time to get them more confident at school. We have been with Mr. Dan for a year now, my boys are 8 and 10. I will choose Mr. Dan for the following 9-10 years before they go to college.

The best investment we could have made. Completely blown away. We signed up for tutoring, but got so much more. Dan's services were recommended to us by a friend. We began with both kids going in 1x per week for entrance exam prep (it's important to note that our kids are already in private school). There are 4 specific areas that made our tutoring experience stellar: results, uncovering a learning issue that escaped other professionals, academic advising for high schools, and my kid's enjoyment of tutoring. I'm going to mention results first. One child has already received entrance exam scores back and this child's scores improved in virtually every testing metric compared to a previous practice exam. The overall score assuredly put this child in a great spot for a potential merit scholarship, which will pay for the tutoring many times over. Next, and more important to me, Dan's amazing experience has allowed him to work with so many kids, and he noticed something interesting that one of my children was doing that got in the way of this child's learning. It made learning a bit harder for this child (though great grades in school). In my heart, I felt something was off, but none of this child's teachers or doctors indicated a problem. We could not put our finger on it (for years!). Dan pointed it out in a follow-up email after a few sessions, recommended some ideas/where to go, and we are now correcting this with the assistance of a medical professional. Without saying too much, it is going to save my child so much time, energy in the future, as well as avoid frustration. I can't tell you how happy this makes me. Third, there are so many good schools here in this area. He knew our goals for our kids and their interests. Because Dan has worked with kids that are now off to (amazing) colleges, it has been invaluable to ask questions from someone who understands the pathway on how to get there. Finally, I would be remiss without mentioning that my kids actually enjoyed tutoring. Both were doing it (on different days) and Dan had a way of connecting with them based on their skills, strengths, and different personalities. They both mentioned how topics they learned in tutoring came up in their school work, which instilled more confidence. They got their extra tutoring homework done without issue too. FWIW, our schools don't like parents helping with homework, but since this was not school-sponsored, there was so much less pressure. We worked with them on tutoring homework, and I think it gave us more insight into their thought processes and was a bonding experience. As you can see, our few months of tutoring have left quite the impression on us. While we initially thought this would be a short-term tutoring arrangement, we plan to continue tutoring in the New Year to keep learning. Just wanted to express our gratitude!

My daughter came to Dan to prepare for a standardized test. Dan quickly identified her weaknesses and worked with her to get her ready to succeed. He is very organized and helps her stay on track. He is very patient and always has a positive attitude. She will continue working with Dan the rest of the year.
