We are so lucky to have Local Color in Baltimore. Ellen did the flowers for our wedding, and even the folks at the wedding venue were asking where our flowers were from because they were so impressed. Ellen and her team are so passionate about their work and the farmers they support. I gave very little direction for our wedding flowers because I knew I could fully trust their decision making -- I'm glad I did, the arrangements were stunning.
We are absolutely thrilled with our experience with Ellen from Local Color Flowers! We chose the DIY experience where we got to come in the day before our wedding to create our own bud vases, and it was such a memorable and fun part of our wedding planning. Ellen was fantastic throughout the entire process. She guided us with a warm and expert hand, making sure we felt confident and inspired while designing our arrangements. The joy and creativity we felt during this experience were reflected in the gorgeous flowers she helped us create. My family also raved about the DIY session and how much they enjoyed being part of the process. The flowers on our wedding day were absolutely stunning and matched our vision perfectly. When we were planning our wedding Local Color Flowers was one of our venues recommended vendors and I am so glad they were because I don't think we would have found them otherwise! We loved the hyper local aspect and that really sold us, along with Ellen being the absolute best. I gave her a color palate and a vision board and she totally ran with it. She was so understanding when our original venue cancelled on us, so we had to end our contract, only to sign back on once we secured a new venue that they also work with. Everyone complimented our flowers and they made our photos even more amazing. And they still look just as good preserved! Ellen and the whole team at Local Color Flowers are such a joy to work with and we could not recommend them more!
When my husband and I were planning our wedding, we wanted to find a sustainable florist and we were so grateful to stumble upon Ellen and her amazing team at Local Color Flowers, where they source all of their flowers locally throughout the year. Our wedding was in November, so we didn't know how much variety we had to choose from, but were blown away at all the flowers and greenery that would be available around that time. While some brides may not like not knowing exactly what their bouquet is going to look like, I couldn't have been more ecstatic with the idea! In my mind it was one less thing to think about; plus, I felt like it was Christmas morning waiting to see the flowers. I knew I could trust Ellen and her team to execute a beautiful bouquet with my color scheme, while coordinating with my hair comb, the boutonnieres, and the bridal party bouquets. I loved how she incorporated non-typical greenery, such as rosemary, ferns, mint, and cabbage. My husband still says rosemary reminds him of our wedding day! We are so grateful to have worked with such an incredible floral team and to support a local business with a great mission. I would absolutely recommend Local Color Flowers to anyone looking for a florist that is easy to work with and will put your mind at ease with their professionalism and amazing bouquets.
