Lockdown on the Lex – Perfect Team-Building Experience! Our Corpus Christi Any Lab Test Now team visited the “Lockdown on the Lex” escape room on the USS Lexington yesterday evening for an end-of-year celebration and team-bonding event, and we had an amazing time! From start to finish, the experience was: Engaging & Immersive The setting aboard the historic USS Lexington provides an authentic, dramatic backdrop that cannot be recreated in a regular building. The storyline and clues were thoughtfully designed—challenging enough to keep everyone engaged, but not so difficult that they became frustrating. The atmosphere, lighting, and sounds made it easy to get “in character” and really buy into the mission. Great for Teamwork. Every member of our group was able to participate—puzzles required communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving, which made this a fantastic team-building exercise. Different strengths shone through: some of us focused on logic, others on patterns or details, and we all had opportunities to contribute. It was a fun way to see our coworkers outside the lab setting and celebrate the end of the year together. The staff running the escape room were welcoming, organized, and clear in explaining the rules and mission. She struck a perfect balance between giving us space to solve things on our own and offering just enough guidance when we really needed a nudge. Check-in and the overall flow of the experience were smooth and efficient, which we really appreciated after a long workday. Memorable End‑of‑Year Celebration We were looking for something fun, different, and interactive for our year-end outing, and Lockdown on the Lex delivered on all counts. Our team left with: Lots of laughs and inside jokes. A stronger sense of connection as coworkers and friends. Highly recommend “Lockdown on the Lex” for any business, office, or group looking for a memorable team-building activity in Corpus Christi. Marcus was an excellent host and made our experience top notch! Couldn't be a better setting for an escape room since you are on an actual ship that launched its first voyage during WWII. We did the Face Your Fears challenge. Highly recommend! Thanks Marcus!

I have done several escape rooms and this one jumped to the top of the list. This isn't your typical tear up the room, look for codes and unlock a lock (repeat x 20). While there are typical escape rooms elements incorporated, this one also requires teamwork and strategy because it has elements that are continuous. Because the way its set up, team members MUST work together. The game master that assisted us was also pretty friendly and the way they give you hints is very unique. I would 100% do this place again!

This was such a cool experience! We played Beat the blast. Marcus was great and incredibly patient and fun. My only critique would be to add skill level of the room on the website. There were 2 of us and we apparently picked the hardest room, eek! What an incredible experience to play a room on an aircraft carrier though. Puzzles were really cool too :)

My group and I did the “Face your Fears” escape room. We did an early run at 10:30 am. Booking online was quick and easy. Your ticket for this INCLUDES access to the museum. Which we explored after the escape room. As for our choice in rooms, I feel like we nailed it out of the options without spillers the game was fun and worth the money. Our game master was Marcus dude was chill and did a great job!
