Awful experience. I bought a microphone capsule worth CAD 1,500 on December 16. I was told the estimated delivery date would be December 29, then it moved to the 31st, then to January 3… Thirty days went by and the product still hadn’t arrived, with no clear delivery date at all. Important detail: the item was shipping from within Canada. The excuse was “high volume during the holiday season.” Honestly, this doesn’t even happen in my home country, which is considered underdeveloped. In the end, I was left with nothing but losses. I rescheduled my flight twice waiting for this product and ended up empty-handed. On top of that, I lost money on the credit card refund because of exchange rates — not to mention all the stress involved. Don’t buy anything that isn’t already in stock, unless you truly don’t care about delivery deadlines.
I recently purchased a guitar here and had an amazing experience thanks to Kai. His knowledge of guitars is outstanding—he took the time to understand what I was looking for, walked me through several options, and explained everything in a way that made the whole process enjoyable and stress‑free. Kai’s customer service was genuinely top‑notch. Friendly, patient, and clearly passionate about what he does. I left with a guitar I absolutely love, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Highly recommend this shop, and especially Kai, if you’re looking for expert advice and exceptional service!
They just try to squeeze as much money out of you as they possibly can. I don’t know if it’s just symbolic of the time, but I hate going to places where it feels like they try to tag as many extra fees and things on as they can. Unfortunately, big businesses like this, take the micro transaction framework and apply to everything you do. I went in simply to get a nut that would be the right size for my guitar, and they said I would need to pay $150 for a set up, $150 for fret work and then $150 to get a nut fitted?? And I asked if they could just make a nut and they would not without me paying all those other fees. I don’t know what happened to honest worker, or treating customers with respect and helping them out. It just feels like this society put so much pressure on making money, that this business too has turned into just a money mongering place. Not to mention that the prices of their guitars were actually ridiculous relative to the rest of the market. I don’t think I’ll be coming here again. Support small music stores.
Needed to rent a keyboard here and the staff did not disappoint. It must be something about everyone who works at any L&M location but they always are friendly and knowledgeable. I’ve never seen such a large location with such extensive choice in instruments before! Great convenient location with plenty of parking.
I had such a great experience at this shop! I was really impressed by the wide variety of products you can find. No matter what your favorite genre or instrument is, I know you'll find the best options here. I think the prices are really reasonable. I went there to have my Gibson tuned, and they made it as good as new. The service was super fast and efficient. I can't recommend it enough!
