My wife and I went without reservations and ended up at the bar. The bartender was very attentive and made some good suggestions. We ended up getting the octopus appetizer and it was very good. The entrees (rockfish and seafood pasta) were also very good. The drinks were also top notch lol. Nice place.

We went here to celebrate my birthday. It was a nice gesture they included a little cute birthday card on our table. They have a gorgeous outdoor courtyard seating area. Kind of wish we ate outside. The food is OK for the price that they charge, nothing special. However, I’m giving a two stars because we brought a cake and they charged us almost $50 for a cake cutting. The worst part was that they never told us. That is pure robbery. Service was just OK. Needless to say, we won’t be going back.

We dined at Lost Letter for a date night for the first time. The ambiance was vibrant, dishes plentiful, and the service was attentive. Matt, our server, was fantastic and made sure we enjoyed each part of our dinner. We were particularly impressed with the beef tartare and the cavatelli pasta, aptly described by my boyfriend as “a perfect pasta dish”. A great meal while in Richmond!

Lost Letter is such an intimate little gem — it’s been on my radar for a while, and I’m so glad we finally made it there for our anniversary! Everything from the ambiance to the food to the vibes was chef’s kiss. For an appetizer, we started with the bread and olive oil — the focaccia was absolute perfection. Soft, airy, and spongey in the best way. For entrées, I had the Polpo Alla Griglia (grilled octopus) and my husband had the Cavatelli (shrimp in red sauce with parmesan). They say the plates are shareable… but I disagree 😅 It was just the right amount for each of us, and we left perfectly satisfied. Pro tip: MAKE A RESERVATION. Don’t just walk up thinking you’re about to get seated — uhhh no, you will be (very politely) turned away. I warned ya 😂 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (100/5 stars — seriously that good!)

Let’s start with the food: simple, soulful and decadent. Flavors balance perfectly to create a superb taste and texture. I had no issue walking off the street and getting an early table in the garden. The decor both inside and out really lent itself to the food creating a seamless dining experience.10/10 would recommend as your next date spot, just get out here and give it a go, you will not be disappointed!
