I had a good look around the store today, never reslised there are two or more floors of beautifully presented antiques. The lower basement is where restoration is carried out. I didn't go down there, although it wasn't sectioned off; the stairs are too steep for me. Cabinets, wardrobes, buffet hutches and occasional tables. Many marble topped dressing tables, if that is your thing. I didn't see that many dining tables, but many dining chairs. There are even three rooms dedicated to mid century modern furniture including lounge, kitchen and dining furniture of recliner chairs, display cabinets, buffets, desks and book cases, most of them in teak or Swedish Oak. It was nice to be able to wander around and compare prices without being harassed by the shop assistant, although I am sure there are security cameras here and there.
Louis is best place for antique furniture in perth hands down
Quiet and extraordinary collection. Mostly pre war stuff but there is some mid century stuff too. The staff were very helpful.
It's a lot of fun mostly just going with a nerd-friend and taking turns guessing the year of the furniture. It's an amazing collection and will loosen wallets.
Beautiful antique and Mid Century furniture, including many gorgeous Scandinavian pieces. If I had more money, I'd be there a great deal more often. Service at Louis' Antiques is superb. A special shout out to Walter, who is a pleasure to know.
