Came here during a Christmas Work Party and the staff here were so attentive and did a great job experiencing the set menu they had planned for us. Everything that was plated tasted so good, I didn't take enough photos. Definitely would came back here for dinner again.
Absolutely wonderful restaurant. Service was amazing, very friendly open and ready to assist whenever you request. The food was phenomenal. The octopus being their "signature dish" it shows, perfectly cooked and seasoned, not only a meal but an experience. Aswell as all the other food was just was well prepared and rich in flavour. Atmosphere was beautifully presented, great lighting, art-deco styled interior. Very nice well put together restaurant Five Stars all around!
We had a lovely dinner. Our waiter was very attentive and made us laugh which is always a nice touch. The chardonnay was very smooth- highly recommend and their fungi fettuccine was very well done. I didnt love the calamari but had tried it as i heard it was good.. but the tiramisu was creamy and a great desert to end the evening. Would definitely come again and love that they have a parkade in this cold weather.
My office held a Holiday Lunch at Luca’s recently. I was bit worried about being underdressed but it was over Lunch so there were lots of people dressed like myself. Very casual. For dinner I would recommend stepping it up and think about wearing a dinner jacket or at the very least, Smart Casual. From the moment you walk in, you know you are visiting a higher end establishment. The decor, while also being very inviting, is very representative of a fine dining establishment. I love white linen tablecloths. If you come in from the Parkade entrance, you will enter at the rear of the restaurant. Just walk along the right hand side of the bar, which is straight ahead as you enter and go to the front of the restaurant, which is straight ahead, where the hostess station is located. More than likely, you’ll be greeted by someone regardless, and they will direct you to the front of the restaurant where you will be looked after. I would recommend parking in the Parkade as opposed to trying to find street parking in the area, which can be challenging in this area of downtown Calgary. The restaurant will validate your parking, so do not pay for the parking at the machine located in the Parkade. But remember your license plate and give it to the staff once you are checked in at the hostess station. Our group were all seated in a very timely fashion once we all arrived. Pay attention to how all the staff are dressed. Very Professional!! Our server, Pascal, was wonderful and obviously a professional, knowledgeable and competent waiter. He was nothing short of perfect. Everything about our lunch was over the top exceptional. From the recommendation that Pascal gave us for a bottle of champagne to start before we ordered lunch to the wine that he recommended which was served during lunch, it was perfect. The food presentation was stunning. From the Appetizers to the mains and the deserts. The meals were all beautiful to view, and of course all the dishes were absolutely amazing. We all found ourselves tasting each others dishes and it seemed that each one was the best we had ever had. I would be hard pressed to make a decision on what to order next time I visit Luca, it was all so good. But I look forward to my next opportunity to do so. Also, the round of Limoncello they served to our group after we were finished lunch, which was on the house was an exceptionally nice gesture. Having recently come back from a trip from Italy I can’t tell you how much I have fallen in love with Limoncello !! I would highly recommend this incredible restaurant to anyone. I hope they see a ⭐️ in their future very soon. That would be so exciting for them and for Calgary. Paul Calgary Canada 🇨🇦
We had the most amazing dinner at Luca to celebrate my partner’s birthday, and everything was perfect! The food was absolutely delicious, but what made the night even more special was the outstanding service. Our server, Selvie, was phenomenal—so warm, attentive, and made us feel truly taken care of. She really elevated our dining experience. Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for great food, a wonderful atmosphere, and exceptional service. We will definitely be coming back!
