So happy to have a great restaurant return to this iconic spot in Reno. Billy and Marco have done a great job restoring one of Reno‘s favorite eateries. The food is great. The staff is wonderful. Please be patient as they did just open. A lot of the one star reviews are people who could not get in. It is worth the wait!

Marcolino’s Italia is a great finer dining addition to the Reno Mid-Town area, with a bandwidth of quick bites or main dishes, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The Owners have done a great job renovating the former Rapscallion’s storied site, while keeping its classic stained glass and rich woodwork. It was also nice to see an Owner present and actively involved to ensure that everyone has an enjoyable dining experience. Smart casual dress is suggested. The restaurant is well suited for a variety of gatherings, whether it’s for business or family meals in a well-lit and immaculate dining area, events in the private rooms, a romantic outing in a private “dining cabin”, or for “after 5” cocktails in a beautiful bar with friends. A fun addition is a new “Speakeasy Room”, with an elegant setting of polished wood and plush furniture, which is perfect for relaxing or for more private conversation. Also look forward to the Summer, when Marcolino’s plans to use a spacious patio area for outside dining & cocktails. Popular Italian dishes seen on the menu are carefully prepared using fresh ingredients. This was a first-visit, so 4 of us tried a few small plates. The iceberg wedge portion was huge and was easily shared by two diners, and the blue cheese dressing was tasty and not overpowering. The lobster bisque was quite good- creamy without too much butter, and portions of lobster were generous. The limoncello cake for dessert was a favorite- a light cake with a limoncello hint and the swirls of lemon curd fill were perfect. Another of our group ordered the meatball sandwich, which quickly disappeared despite being a fairly large serving, and a 4th diner ordered the margarita flatbread. The flatbread was oven baked to firmness without scorching, and fresh toppings were cooked just right. They tried a tiramisu dessert which was light and not overly sweet, and the coffee taste was present, but didn’t overtake the taste of their dessert. Note it can be hard to reach a newly opened restaurant, and both the phone system and website should be upgraded soon. Still, 4 of us got in on the weekend with no problem. Definitely worth a repeat visit!

This place blew me away. The lasagna was the fluffiest, most comforting dish I’ve had in a long time. The calamari deserves its own shoutout — absolutely FABULOUS. The meatballs were packed with flavor, and the limoncello was a great way to end the meal. An all-around fantastic Italian experience.

Have had MANY meals here, rest assured each meal gets better EVERY time! Marco & Billy do a grand job of making you feel welcome and their outstanding service is tops. The chefs make each meal with that Old School love like my Nona used to make. God Rest her soul! Our favorites, Lasagna, Fettucine Alfredo, their daily soups, and Eggplant Parmigana. Don’t forget the Garlic Bread & Caesar Salad….and almost for the Limoncello Cake!

Had dinner at Marcolino’s Italia and it was so good! I got the linguini scampi — the pasta was super fresh, the presentation was great, and the portion was huge (definitely needed a box). The bread beforehand was delicious too. I wasn’t planning on getting dessert, but when I saw the limoncello cake walk by… I quickly changed my mind. No regrets there!
