My kid has had a wonderful experience at Maryland Martial Arts! They are always excited to go to ninjitsu and are extremely motivated to level up. Very kind and responsive staff while also focusing on making sure the lesson gets done.
My daughter has been going to Maryland Martial Arts for over 2 years now and she enjoys going there every week for the practice. The sensei's and staff are wonderful and very welcoming.
This is by far the BEST Martial Arts school I have ever seen. Sensei Jon calls each and every kid by their names!, treats them with so much kindness and respect. He conducts his classes with a great deal of diligence and devotion. His training methods and progression schemes help students to gain foundational skills quickly and improve steadily. My son has been going for 2 years now, and I am more than happy with the changes I see on him in karate skillsets, competence, and confidence. I owe it all to Sensei Joh. I recommend Maryland Martial Arts to anyone who needs to develop their child at such an affordable price. My big thanks to Sensei Jon and his team.
Could not be happier with our experience at MMA! We enrolled our 5 year old who has motor planning difficulties as well as some emotional regulation challenges. He had a hard time joining class the first day, and Ms. Marta was incredible and got him on the mat and engaged. Sensai John has more patience than anyone I know. All of the teachers have been incredible in supporting and engaging all the children, as well as teaching my child in a way that supports his motor planning.
My son has been attending Maryland Martial Arts for about a year. He LOVES working with each instructor and asks every day "is today a karate day?" I love seeing his self-discipline grow and seeing how driven he is to earn his next belt. Sensei Ines and Sensei Jon are wonderful instructors. They get to know their students and coach them with skill. They set high expectations that their students are inspired to reach.
