I’m not a Karen at all but guys…. save your money and do not go here!! This restaurant does not deserve such a good spot in the heart of Sydney City. My partner and I thought we’d try this place out as the photos online looked good… We started off with their garlic bread, broccolini, corn and truffle mash. All of which we took a bite of and did not even bother to finish. Their garlic bread had basically come straight from the Aldi frozen-food section, into their oven and spread oil and parsley to garnish. They couldn’t even split the bread to make it look half decent? Our broccolini meal prep is 10 x better than their dry non sense. The corn was not JUICY and in fact dry around the edges. The “truffle mash” oh my, idk how the chefs there allow people to eat that. Thats not even mash? That’s a squashed potato sprayed with truffle oil? Moving onto the mains - my partner ordered the beef medallion & I ordered the rib eye on the bone… FLAVOURLESS, cheap steak & not to the description. A pub steak is 10000 x better. We also did not finish it. And the sauce that they served it with, please explain how the hellyyy this is considered sauce? It was oil. We took a few bites hoping it would get better, for it to only get worse. Genuinely, if you enjoy your steak, I strongly do NOT recommend this place at all. We paid and left, to go eat somewhere else. Very disappointed.
Short review: Food excellent, service poor - still come here but don’t be afraid to put your hand up for things. More detailed review: Had the tomahawk special which was about 200 AUD. There was two of us and both hungry but could finish it so this is enough for 3-4 people! It was superb and the mushroom sauce (we ordered garlic) was excellent and better than what we initially ordered! Also had the bone marrow which was good. Service let it down slightly and stopped 5 star rating:- - Ordered sparkling water - glasses came quickly and the water took another 10mins. - Waitress dropped the spoon from bone marrow dish when clearing table, picked it up and left it on the table for some reason. - Wrong sauce came as mentioned earlier - Took a while to take initial food order
This steakhouse offers a solid experience in a great location. Situated on the waterfront at Barangaroo, the restaurant provides beautiful views. We were seated at a table overlooking the water, which made for a nice setting. I had the 250g sirloin steak, which was delicious, and it was perfectly complemented by the creamy garlic sauce and a fresh salad. The side dishes - the truffle chips and onion rings - were very nice too. The overall ambiance was pleasant and inviting.
This was, hands down, the best meal we had during our 3 day stay in Sydney! My son and I tried kangaroo (steak) for the first time and we are now big fans! We also had the beef & brie burger. It was perfectly cooked and had a lovely, creamy topping with the melted brie. Highly recommend!
Sunday night, me and my girlfriend found this absolute gem. The tomahawk was cooked perfectly — tender, juicy and full of flavour. The sides were just as good: crispy potatoes, fresh broccolini and a fresh salad to balance everything. The sauces were spot on too. The cocktails were amazing — each one better than the last. And honestly, the food was so good it was impossible to feel guilty about any of it. The staff were incredibly friendly and looked after us from start to finish. Beautiful presentation, generous portions and a truly satisfying meal. Definitely worth ordering.
