I took my 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage into this shop and I was told my belt came off and hit the pistons. My engine was no good and they wanted $7,000 to put new engine in. I didn't have that, but I didn't feel this was true .I let a homeless couple that I have been helping, work on it & they got it running no problem. This shop is a SCAM shop BEWARE!!!
Genuine honest humans here. Ended up with a car that wouldn't start hours away from home. They did everything they could to get me taken care of in a timely manner. Mike the mechanic was awesome. Stayed in communication with me, kept me updated and clearly cared about me and my well being during the process. I felt really good in a crappy situation. Cant thank these guys enough.
The check engine light fired up on the 2013 Audi A4 (only 150k miles) as my wife and daughter were driving from Texas to Seattle late in the day. They rolled into the shop early the next morning, yada, yada, yada, the crew there, led by Austin: 1) Got them in; 2) Diagnosed; 3)Clearly communicated the problem and the proposed fix; and 4) Executed the fix, all in a timely manner to get them back on the road in under 7 hours - the same day. While you don't want to have big repair on a roadtrip, this was the place for it to happen. Oh, and 5) Austin provided a run down of things to keep an eye out for that may need attention. Thankful for Austin and MPT&A's willingness to serve with kindness and efficiency. While I hope they never have to stop in Spokane for a disruptive engine fix during a cross country road trip again, if they do - we'll be back at Mechanics Pride Tire & Automotive. Thanks Austin. Truly.
I took my 2007 Chevy Tahoe here back in 2019 to get some work done. They did a fine job as far as that goes, but they tried to tell me I needed a new engine and that was going to cost $7k to get replaced. I couldn't afford this so I asked them is this something that has to be done now or can I still drive it and just wait to see. They told me it was hard to say how long it would work before completely giving out. I was really anxious about the whole situation because I was still making payments on this vehicle at the time. I felt like I was sold a lemon and didn't really know what to do. All I knew at the time was that I was going to have to take my chances because I didn't have an extra $7k at the time. Here I am in 2025 and this vehicle still works great. Not only that, but I was able to put a fully loaded U-Haul trailer all the way from Spokane to Florida when I moved in 2021. The engine cranks right up every time and I haven't had a single issue with it. There's no oil leaking in my driveway or anything. I just randomly thought of this incident and figured at this point it deserved a review because they could not have been more wrong.
I cannot say enough good things about this place. Mike the owner is very knowledgeable and when I say knowledgeable I mean it. He and his mechanics worked on my 1973 Plymouth Roadrunner on short notice and did an amazing job. I cannot begin to say how impressed I am at the work they did. It’s too much to name in this short review but they took a job that other mechanics were “ scared “ of and they kicked butt at it. Great people here
