I had never had any experience with singing and very limited piano experience. Melodi not only made the lessons fun but focused on the type of music I enjoyed which made me eager to practice and get better. She is authentic and empowering as a teacher and would recommend to anyone, especially beginners.
I had weekly piano lessons with Melodi for over two years, I started off as a beginner and progressed over multiple (unofficial) grades. It was a pleasure to learn from her, always patient, adaptive to my style and what I wanted to play with a mixture of theory, sight reading, singing and learning pieces. She went out of her way to put on multiple 'new performers concert' to provide early opportunities to perform in front of a crowd of friends and families with other similar abilities. She also was happy to help outside of the lesson time, and it was honestly an enjoyment to spend time with her, and the occasional 'distraction' of her cats was a benefit!
I’ve been learning piano with Melodi for just over 4 years now and it’s been great, she tailors each lesson to my individual needs, is patient and motivating – would definitely recommend!

Melodi is a great teacher! She allowed me to work with my unique style but challenging me enough to stretch my vocal ability and find out I could do things I never thought I could.
