I’ve been to Midtown Animal Hospital several times over the last three years for my two cats—most visits planned in advance, with one or two semi-emergencies—and the staff is consistently warm and seems to like cats. We’ve gotten in and out relatively quickly every time. On one visit, the vet I worked with downplayed my tuxedo cat’s major anxiety (he always pants, cries, and pees himself when he’s out in a carrier), but on my recent visit, the vet prescribed him gabapentin, for which I am extremely grateful.

Dr. True has taken care of our pets for many years now. She’s amazing, knowledgeable and very honest. Her team is great as well. Even though pets hate going to the vet, everyone there always manages to handle them with care and professionalism.

It’s unfortunate what has happened to this clinic since Dr.Dinger sold it. Over the years I have championed this place so much and undoubtedly helped bring them quite a bit of business, but I won’t be anymore. The front desk girl (Sky?) is rude, very short and speaks down to people who are just trying to get their furry counterpart help. After a week of calling daily while waiting to hear back from the vet of whether or not I can get my prescription refilled (the same prescription I get 1-2x per year for the last five years, the only prescription I ever get and he gets this infection frequent enough that the vet told me she’d just refill it in the future) I finally called for the fourth day which is when Sky discovered that my initial request had been in the wrong spot? (Mistakes happen, that’s fine…) Then it turns into me all of a sudden needing to bring my boy in for an exam before prescribing this antibiotic since they haven’t seen him since April… oh but first he needs to get his vaccine! I pointed out we could just avoid all of this by living up to what the vet initially told me that she would fill this antibiotic. I began trying to do this Sunday on the off chance I would need to bring him in, but because somebody messed up - my cat who cannot breathe will have to suffer for awhile longer because my only days off this week have came and passed while I was waiting for a response that was put in the wrong place to begin with. I’m extremely irritated and upset about this. Clearly they are not worried about the well being of their furry patients, they’re more worried about that $75 exam fee.

Love this place for my old pup. They are very responsive and the staff is really nice. Our last appointment, Courtney made some recommendations for mobility aids for my old man and texted me info on how I could order them. I really appreciated the care and attention shown to us. I only wish they treated humans too.

MAH has been caring for our dogs and cats for years. While all vet care is expensive these days, the providers here respect the ethical, financial and emotional elements involved in caring for our furry friends.
