Maddy was our waitress and she was lovely and polite, attentive and nothing was any trouble. Gorgeous food and puddings to take away…. No problem!
We were really looking forward to trying a good steak at Miller & Carter Albert Dock, but unfortunately it was a huge disappointment. We ordered our steak well done, yet it was served undercooked and quite chewy, despite waiting around 40 minutes. The service — and most importantly, the main reason we came — was terrible. We had to wait to be seated even though there were free tables, and when we explained that the steak was not what we expected, the waiter did not apologize. On a positive note, the other dishes we ordered were tasty and the portions were generous. The atmosphere was nice, but unfortunately the steak and service really let us down.
Had a great experience here! Staff were so lovely and attentive, food came out quick despite being busy (we didn’t get our lettuce wedge but were full anyways so didn’t comment). Atmosphere was welcoming and was a perfect date night. Was it the best steak i’ve had? No, but it was perfectly cooked and came as expected!
Always enjoy a visit to Miller & Carter. Food is amazing. Chipotle chicken bites to start. 7oz rump steak, beef butter, peppercorn sauce and chunky chips for mains and just managed to squeeze in a mini dessert of profiteroles with coffee.
We visited Liverpool last weekend on a sunny day and wanted to seated outside for a meal at Miller & Carter, only to be told that they only serve small plates outdoors. We agreed to seat inside and ordered some of the steaks. The food was delicious as usual but I cannot say the same for the staff who hardly smiled, especially the girl who welcomed us and saw us to our table. Friendly staff makes a difference to our experience and I cannot say that on the day they delivered.
