I came here a few weeks ago and paid over 270 bucks to make alterations to some suits and was told that they would be ready on 12/19. I never received a call or anything so I came back a week later to check in on how my suits were doing and they had not been touched or altered at all. I asked for a refund because it really seemed like they had forgotten about my suits despite all the extra time they had. They then began lying to me saying they had already done alterations to it so I told them to show me where. They became speechless and just kept repeating “please, we’ll have it done”. The truth was my suits were untouched hanging on the rack. I told them it’s fine, I just want a refund so I can take my suits somewhere else. They then finally agreed to giving me a refund but were refusing to refund the tax they taxed me. Horrible customer service. Family run store by a couple of liars who try to make a buck off of you whenever they can. I’m really glad I asked for a refund cause after posting my review and reading so many others, it seems like they used to be a good store to go to, but for the past several months, they’ve forgotten about orders and on top of that, have made many mistakes on the clothes they have tailored. I’m glad I dodged a bullet and highly recommend you look into the recent reviews before you dump a few hundred dollars into tailoring your clothes. Oh, and they’ll also charge you more to fix a mistake they did!
I went to Minh's to tailor my wedding dress. I paid $518. I got my dress hemmed and shortened , I got alterations on each side of the dress and the shoulder pieces altered to fit more adjusted to my arms and shoulder cut and raised. My honest review is that the seamstress was nice and the process was okay. However the quality of the work was not worth it for the price in my opinion. I brought my dress in on October and picked it up at the end of November. On my last fitting everything seemed good when I tried it and inspected it on the surface it looked exactly how I wanted but upon further inspection it was cut very sloppy and altered like it was rushed. I had to repair the zipper outer layer myself. Threads were left attached , and bits and pieces unevenly cut. The dress also had an odor I couldn't get completely off. The right arm hole was cut to the correct size meanwhile the left was cut too small and on my wedding day it left a red painful mark on my arm. It was just okay.
My daughter lives out of State but her wedding ( and dress) was here in FL. Her Wedding coordinator suggested we use a tailor in Lake Mary for alterations. It was close to disastrous. A friend recommended Minh’s( this was one month before the wedding) so we picked up the dress and drove straight there. Our seamstress was amazing. She knew exactly what to do and literally transformed my daughter’s tears into smiles! My husband has had two suits altered and my daughter and i have had evening wear altered. Not once have we left less than 100% satisfied. Thank you both for a wonderful experience!
If you are looking for the best tailor, look no further than Minh's! My husband and I began wedding planning at the height of the pandemic, summer of 2020, and I was essentially unable to go out and wedding dress shop. My mother and I found Anomalie, a wedding dress design company online, and I fell in love with the design we created; unfortunately, when it arrived it was far too big and not close to my actual measurements. I took the dress into Minh's and they restructured the dress and made it into the form-fitting shape that I had imagined. I've also taken in dresses to be custom fit and reshaped and Minh's never fails to impress!
I walked in to Minh’s after finding my perfect dress in April needing all alterations by June 19th. I live out of state so fittings were limited but she was incredibly flexible. She worked a miracle on my dress in the short timeline given! My wedding dress started at a size 14 and I needed it to be a size 0. She was able to make it fit me perfectly with kindness and patience. She made my dreams of customizing my dress to look exactly as I pictured come true!
