I gave this place 2 stars instead of 1 because the young man at the front desk was so nice. Other than that absolutely not. The first room I went into the shower had been running because it was broken. Who knows how long the water was just running. The second room the fridge was leaking water. I’m pretty sure if you pulled up the carpet there would be black mold. I extremely allergic and after 1 night I was having allergy issues. There was a sour smell coming from the AC. A massive hole in the walkway to get to our room that was roped off which made it difficult to get to our room. The faucet in the second room did not shut off all the way. Not hot water the first night. Sketchy people hanging around the unattended parking garage that you have to pay $15.00 per day for. I do not recommend. I feel like it’s a health hazard and not the safest place to stay.

The first room we were in had water coming up through the floor and I woke up with big puddles in the room. They were quick to get us a new room which was good but after the first day that room smelled like wet mildew the rest of the week. Our room was only cleaned 1 time out of 7 days that we stayed there. There was no continental breakfast, free parking or anything exercise room, despite advertising that they had all three. There is a $15 charge for daily parking despite the fact they have no cameras on their lot and no security on site that would justify the charge. And you can park for free on the street right in front of the hotel. Also the hot tub wasn’t working while we were there either. The elevator was super scary to use but we were on the 3rd floor so we had to use it. The inspection certificate for the elevator was expired by 3 months! DO NOT STAY HERE! The little extra$ for the hotels that are close by is worth the difference in cost for what you would get. This hotel was the worst part of a good vacation.

Lindsey is a star! Stayed at fancy place in La Jolla, nice, but missed flight and Lindsey was like a beacon of light. Came to stay here because of her genuine kindness and hospitality. Also want to give a shout to Santiago, who helped me the following morning. Genuinely caring staff. And not sure when the reviewer commenting about the rooms being dirty stayed, but mine was immaculate. It is an older establishment- i don’t mind that, many of the fanciest, most charismatic, independent hotels in this country are older. That’s different than dirty. My room was very clean.

This might be the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. The rooms were filthy and the showers were covered in rust. I didn't feel safe even sleeping in the best because of how the carpet and couches looked. There was visible stains on the couch as soon as I entered the room. This cannot be a 3 star hotel. Breakfast is not included despite the website saying so. A piece of paper posted to a window when you check in says that. The gym was closed. The laundry room was occupied 100% of the time. The night I stayed rained and there were 2 massive puddles I had to walk through to get to my room, there was no way around them and they covered your entire shoe. The location is good, the price is good and the parking is plentiful but that's about it. Would not recommend staying here.

We stayed here for one night, and while the room layout was convenient for traveling with kids, the overall experience was disappointing. CONS: • The floors were visibly dirty upon arrival, and the front of the mini fridge had handprints and smudges. • No blankets were provided on the bunk bed. • We found two roaches in the room (see photos). • Upon check-in, the parking lot was chaotic. A group of people had just been in a fender bender, several were shouting at the other guy involved, and three police cars were blocking the driveway. • The pool was overrun by the same group later that day. They were loud and took up all the space, so our kids couldn’t enjoy it. • At night, there was loud fighting in the adjacent parking lot, presumably among homeless people / people on drugs / mental illness. One man even threw his wagon, which made us feel unsafe. We barely slept due to the noise and commotion. • The price we paid for the night felt high considering the overall experience. PROS: • The staff were wonderful—friendly, attentive, and helpful. Unfortunately, despite the kind staff, the negatives far outweighed the positives. We packed up first thing in the morning and left. We would not stay here again or recommend it to others.
