Huge thanks to Missouri Driving School! It has been years, but MDS is the reason I have my license today! Thanks to some, ahem, experiences when I was younger, I was terrified of ever learning how to drive. You couldn't pay me a hundred bucks to drive across an empty parking lot. Well, some things in my life changed and I decided I had to bite the bullet. Missouri Driving School was fantastic! I tried another institution first and bailed before my first lesson ended. From the minute my instructor, "AJ," pulled up to start my first lesson with MDS, I knew I would make it. I had the same vehicle throughout all of my lessons and the same instructor. MDS wasn't cheap, but it was money well spent as a young adult whose anxiety about driving was at a 10. AJ was patient and personable and with his help I got my license in no time.

This has been nothing but a bad experience. Classes were constantly cancelled or instructors were a no show due to ether car issues or instructor being fired and there was no communication from the school. Today when I called to resdchedule a class because my son was having a rough day and was not in the mindset to drive, the response i received was :Really? I just shuffled around a vbunh of stuff for your son's class today, Why didn't you have called me 10 minutes earlier? I had called 15 minutes earlier and he had rejected the call. Customer service is the worst and they are complertely unreliable

I had two teen family members go through driving lessons from here a year or two ago. The price was reasonable but I don't remember the exact price it was close $69 I think. They had vehicles that had a secondary brake system that the instructor can use on the passenger side for emergencies. They also have their own insurance. I myself & another family member went through the same lessons years ago. We all were able to pass the driving tests & receive our driver's license or intermediate license. I highly recommend for new drivers or people who want/need a refresher.

Today, I was traveling North on 141 near HWY 21. This car (see pics) was on my tail in heavy traffic, then buzzed around me like I was in his way. He then continued to buzz around other cars in an offensive manner. I saw that it was a car displaying a sign for “Missouri Driving School”. He was also making illegal lane changes (solid white lines). Thankfully there was no student in the car. Based on what I saw, this is not a school I would want to send my kids to learn to drive. He has no business teaching people how to drive.

My experience with this driving school was disappointing and I fell short of expectations for professional instruction. The instructor (Nate) was consistently unreliable. Although he was very patient, he arrived late on more than one occasion and even failed to show up twice without any communication or explanation. When I called the driving school, I was told that the instructor changed his number. The guy answering the phone doesn't sound approachable and seem bored and uninterested and hurrying up. During lessons, the instructor doesn't provide meaningful guidance or structured teaching. Rather than actively instructing or correcting the driving, he just simply lets me drive around without much feedback, which felt more like an unstructured practice than an actual lesson. On some occasions, he was distracted by his phone and gave vague directions without offering clear instructions making it confusing to understand what our objective should be for the day. There was also a lady with us sitting in the backseat that I thought was also an instructor observing. I don’t know if that is allowed or normal but I ignored it and just went on with the driving. Key components of driver education such as parallel parking, basic parking techniques, and an understanding of essential car signals required for the road test weren’t covered adequately. Despite not having taught these basics, the instructor asked me to schedule my road test which seemed to me still premature and unhelpful as I was not confident and prepared or supported enough. Only had a total of 4 or 4.5 hours of driving with Nate and as much I want to practice drive with them more, I feel like I’m just going to waste money as I wasn’t really “learning” and being guided properly. Can’t say I won’t recommend them but I do hope they improve their service or they get a better and professional driving instructors and come up with better and a more structured way to teach their students.
