I had my very first acupuncture session recently, and I’m so glad it was with this clinic. From the second I walked in, the space felt calm and welcoming, and everyone there made me feel totally comfortable. They took time to explain everything, answer my questions, and really listened to why I came in. What really stuck with me—besides how great I felt afterward—was how involved they are in the community. They’re members of the Chamber of Commerce and were even nominated for Small Business of the Year, which honestly says a lot. You can tell they truly care, not just about their patients, but about the people around them. If you’ve been on the fence about trying acupuncture, or just want to support a business that’s doing things the right way, I can’t recommend them enough.
I have mixed feelings about my visit to this place. The staff were really kind and welcoming, the owner explained everything pretty well and gave me a good feeling of what they were doing. However my biggest issue about my visit was the lack of privacy. Their whole setup involves a dark room in the back with a bunch of couches for all patients and the only thing that divides these are some mildly private curtains. The worst part of my experience was that I needed needles in my back and my body, and I needed to go to a massage-like table in the very back of this dark room. The thing that bothered me was that this table was next to other patients and again only divided by these simple curtains. There I was asked to remove my shirt and lay face down and the acupuncturist partially pulled down my pants to partially expose my butt and put some needles there. This was in a non-private setting in which any of the other patients could walk in front of my table and see my exposed back and butt just out there! The other weird thing is that I was asked to only whisper in that room, so that the other patients won't be bothered by the noise… The ambient there in my opinion was very ackward and not private at all. I get that many people just go there for relaxation purposes and their current setting might be okay for that, but I went there for medical treatment and that requires more privacy than a dark relaxation room. The setup made me think of makeshift war-like medic tents you see in movies where a bunch of people are getting treated next to each other. The more I think of my experience, the weirder I feel about it.
I decided to try acupuncture for my numb toes. So where do you go? We read review and web sites.. I was impresses by reading the training and long experience of the Acupuncturist at Modern Acupuncture. The facility is amazingly modern and comfortable. After a few treatments I began seeing significant improvement and continue to go for maintenance treatment. The staff is friendly and very helpful with scheduling. I believe the fees are very reasonable and they have several different plans. This is a wonderful facility with excellent staff and I highly recommend it.
Had an amazing experience at Modern Acupuncture! The Mandi was incredibly welcoming and professional, and the facilities were clean, calming, and inviting. Injin was very knowledgeable and took the time to listen to my concerns before creating a personalized treatment plan that addressed my specific needs. I appreciated how they explained everything to me before starting the treatment, which made me feel comfortable and at ease. During the treatment, I was pleasantly surprised by how relaxing it was - I actually dozed off! Afterward, I felt energized and rejuvenated. I can't wait to go back for my next session. Highly recommend Modern Acupuncture to anyone looking for a holistic and effective way to improve their overall health and wellness!
In August 2021, I gave up on the military doctors and decided to give Modern Acupuncture a shot. My practitioner is amazing. She listens and offers suggestions and has been a tremendous help on this healing journey. It has not only helped with my injuries but has helped my allergies, stress, and sleep. As a busy mom balancing life/work, I am thankful for the 30 minutes I spend in the chairs. I feel so rejuvenated afterward. The admin staff is always excellent and accommodating. It is a friendly, happy environment and great people to interact with. Thank you for making acupuncture easily accessible and relaxing for all!
