I went into Mom's Music interested in buying a keyboard. I was greeted promptly and then assisted by the store manager, Howard. I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted and Howard was so knowledgeable and helpful!! I ended up with exactly what I wanted. In selecting items I needed for it, I interacted with several employees who were all very kind, helpful and knowledgeable as well. Mom's has a great selection of everything and plenty of parking right out front in their parking lot. The entire experience was so great and the customer service outstanding! Also, their pricing was on par with big box stores. If you need anything musical I highly suggest you go see, Howard, John, Karen, Bob, Tommy in the drum room or Zander who's thing is keyboards! It's a great place!
Recently purchased a guitar on Reverb from Mom’s Music and it was a great experience. This is the type of music store we should be supporting in a world of warehouse online stores. When I read the story behind Mom’s it took me back to 1970 when I first started to learn to play. The local music store was my introduction to the music business. They were families who genuinely cared about my progress. They are the purveyors of a lost art that is impossible to quantify. God bless. Keith Gregory.
I am a current student and weekend warrior band member. All these reviews are truthful. Yes Moms raised price and I also was not notified. I honestly do not know if Moms management or Chuck did not notify us. Yes Chuck does have huge ego. I do not know if he makes money on the weekend warrior bands. But the establishment absolutely does. Packed house in the middle of the afternoon when other wise empty. The individual who posted the negative review is a good person. He would go out of his way to help anyone in the program. From building custom pedals, working on amps and charging only for materials. So feel he is being honest even if some do not like it. Perhaps MoMs should take more control in the weekend warrior program since they are the ones getting paid.
Some of nicest people you'll ever meet, and they're there because they want you to love playing music as much as they do. And if you've been looking for local musicians at all skill levels to jam with, make sure to check out the Weekend Warrior program and connect with Chuck Marcum. I hadn't performed with others for many years and now, thanks to Mom's and Chuck and one of the other band members, I'm part of a great band and we're getting the opportunity to play at local venues. I can't recommend Mom's and the Weekend Warriors enough. Hope to see you there!
Great place. They have a "Weekend Warrior" program that puts you with other players to play together. It's a great way to meet other people that play in your genre of music. It also gives you a much better understanding of how music works compared to sitting at home and trying to understand what is happening by listening to a track on your own. Ask for the teacher Chuck Marcum. He has a great way of putting all the confusing (sometimes inaccurate) information you find online into a usable and easy to understand lesson. I highly recommend Mom's.
