It was Xmas day and we were grateful to find this place open. As is usual now, 3/4 of the people were here for takeout. We,however, sat down. We had a $25 dollar lunch for $87. Orange chicken, Kung Pao Shrimp and Green Beans with minced pork that arrived as green pea leaves with large pork pieces. The chicken was not good. Soggy and bland. Not up to Panda Inn standards. Kung Pao shrimp was excellent though. The green beans with minced pork that came as pea sprouts and bbq pork was not good. The lunch bill with tip and tax was $87. That's beyond ridiculous. Service was polite and efficient but not for that price.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Must‑Visit Spot for Authentic Chinese Comfort Food! I’ve been to many Chinese restaurants, but this place truly stands out. Their orange chicken is to‑die‑for—crispy, perfectly glazed, and bursting with that sweet‑tangy flavor that keeps you coming back for more. The green beans are equally impressive: fresh, crisp, and tossed in a savory sauce that balances the dish beautifully. Beyond the food, the staff deserve a shout‑out. Everyone is friendly, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about delivering a great dining experience. You can tell they take pride in their work, which adds an extra layer of warmth to the already inviting atmosphere. The vibe feels authentically Chinese, from the subtle décor touches to the background music that transports you straight to a bustling street market. It’s the perfect blend of comfort and authenticity, making it an ideal spot for both quick lunches and relaxed dinner gatherings. If you’re craving top‑notch Chinese cuisine with stellar service and an authentic ambiance, look no further—this restaurant is the real deal!
Our date night at Moon House Chinese Restaurant turned into a disaster because of the male server (the one in the photo). We didn’t understand part of the menu, so I politely asked about the roasted duck. Instead of helping, he actually took out his pen, scratched on the menu, and yelled at us like we were bothering him.
First thing I will say is that the BEST Orange Chicken I have ever eaten, is made here (definitely coming back just for this). Think chicken first, then breading…so you are actually getting served more whole chicken rather than mainly, thick breading/fried fat and sauce. The sauce is plentiful, the flavor is excellent. The shrimp and veggies is very tasty as well.. The shrimp, pork and mushroom Siu Mai (an appetizer) was my second favorite. We also ordered hot and sour soup (which was pretty good). What I thought was pretty cool is They bring you tea and water first thing upon being seated. Reason for a 4 star is simply due to customer service. They never really table touched, but it was extremely busy so it is semi understandable. Also, our appetizers came after the main dishes.
From the first bite, I thought "Wow this is just like Chinese food used to taste like!" I had the Kung Pao Chicken. It had that classic flavor that many Chinese restaurants seem to no longer have. I was greeted with a smile, served a complementary pot of tea to start with, and the meal came out quickly and cooked perfectly. I was really quite happy with my meal here.
