Everything but the sturgeon! Had an anniversary dinner here - Chef's prix fixe - the scallops were the best I'd ever had, buttery and fresh. Oxtail ragout knocked our socks off. The hazelnut chocolate dessert was swoon-worthy. However, the sturgeon with kale was so oversalted, I had to spit the greens out - the salt burned my tongue. The fish was cooked well but also way too salty - an unfortunately dark spot in an otherwise great meal. The service was impeccable, the ambience lovely. We'd return for the 3 stellar dishes.

Went there last night for a date night with my fiancé. We were very pleasantly surprised with everything. The atmosphere was warm and cozy. The food was absolutely amazing, especially the prosciutto was to die for. The service from Leon made everything better and brought the whole night together. We got the Prix Fixe Menu (4 course menue), prosciuttowith fresh mazerella, and assorted oysters. An expensive night, but every cent was worth it, we walked away very far and happy. We look forward to another date night here in the future.

The food is so inventive and delicious. We had a pasta with duck confit, fennel, orange peel and candied fennel, it was luck having duck ala orange with pasta. We also had beef rib anglotti with a Gorgonzola cream sauce, walnuts and an apple compote and apple gel. The beef tartare was excellent with pickled mushrooms. The pickling cut through the richness of the meat. Service was excellent and the Somm made great recommendation. Definitely sit at the chef counter if you are a foodie.

As a wine enthusiast, I’d say this place is a must-visit when you’re in Portland (they have a great Italian wine list). Our server was amazing, super knowledgeable and professional. Everything she recommended was so tasty, and it ended up being one of the best parts of our trip. The wine recommendation was perfect and matched both our food and what we like. The woman who greeted us at the door was also super friendly and welcoming, which made us feel comfortable right from the start. We had such a great time here!

Delicious and interesting (but not TOO impetuous to where they’re trying too hard), this restaurant has become one of my favorites in the city after almost 20 years of calling Portland home. The staff are passionate about food and wine and good service. They’ll be happy to make this a truly enjoyable experience. I have never felt rushed even a little bit. They understand dining and good wine and the love shows. I’ll be back (with lots of friends) again and again.
